Please reconsider stay- horrible stay. The buildings could be so beautiful but they have left it to literally fall apart. We were apparently in the new/upgraded wing yet building fallong apart, dirty and water stopped working for period of time. Garbage left around for our three say stay in corridors and pool area and only half restaurants are open and those that are offer poor quality food. The breakfast utensils were on kleenex papers and the Chinese restaurant smelled like smoke with stained table clothes and chairs. The beach and ocean is only redeeming factor but not worth the stay. I would say 2 star hotel rating. Consider rebooking elsewhere.

A very mixed review! I have now stayed here on five different occasions however it has noticeably in disrepair and badly maintained after Covid.
My stay this time was not great but on my previous stays 2006-2018 it was great therefore I will hope this is purely down to the effects of covid and will improve in the near future.

Is a bit run down for the garden villa. Not suitable for elderly as buggy service drop off point is lobby, whereby restaurant is at lower floor and do not have lift service. Chinese restaurant service is not so good and it took an hour waiting time to serve food. Food choices limited for dinner and some are buffet which is not suitable for elderly and young kids.

The hotel staff were friendly enough but the hotel was a bit old and requires a bit of maintenance work. The food was quite disappointing and a lot of the things we wanted on the menu were out of stock. The kids activities were disorganised, whereby everything started late and only lasted 30mins when it was an hour activity. None of the water sport activities were available to do even though it was advertised everywhere. This hotel has so much potential but requires a lot of work to make it at a higher standard

I really liked the surrounding nature of the resort. Staffs were friendly as well. However, room (especially bathroom) and some of the resort facilities were outdated and unclean. Bathroom needs refurbishment work and overall cleanness needs to be improved.

Thoroughly enjoyed our family holiday here, we had two adjoining rooms that had beautiful views and were close to all amenities. Staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble and their friendliness was outstanding. The restaurants were also outstanding and having live entertainment each evening was lovely. We would also recommend the Borneo Spa for a special treat and pamper. We would definitely love to return here one day, thank you.

Excellent location next to the sea. Private beach, very clean.
Wide choice of good quality food from at least five restaurants with different cuisines.
Not too busy, possibly low season. Most other guests were families or couples, majority Chinese with a few people from other areas.
A little isolated and quite far from the city (Kota Kinabalu), about 45 minutes journey by shuttle bus or taxi.

The staff are all courteous and offer excellent service especially in the F&B outlets. I visited this property in 2003 and it is the charm of the hotel that made me go back there again this time. Food at outlets is still good and you get quality for what you pay.

Nice view, nice landscape. However, it seems they are short of staff. No staff attended to us when we reach, only 1 staff at reception counter, no warm welcome by the staff like other resorts. Also, food served is not up to the quality.
