Here are the steps to book Lion Air tickets online:
Payments for Lion Air tickets can be made via bank transfer, and credit card.
For more information regarding available payment methods, please visit the Payment Methods page.
The Lion Air e-ticket serves as proof of your booking for Lion Air flights. Show your e-ticket at the Lion Air counter during check-in (either at the airport or online) to get your boarding pass. If you do not receive your e-ticket within 60 minutes after making payment, please contact Traveloka Customer Service immediately.
Lion Air flights use the code JT. Keep that operator separate from Thai Lion Air, Batik Air and other airlines in the group when comparing baggage and booking services. For a Traveloka purchase, retain both the Traveloka Booking ID and the airline's booking reference, together with the issued flight details.
Lion Air's current manage-booking form displays Booking Reference (PNR), First Name, Last Name, Flight Number and Flight Date. Enter names in the same format as the reservation. The PNR is the airline reference, not the Traveloka Booking ID.
The airline's separate Retrieve Booking instructions distinguish direct purchases from travel-agency reservations. Direct lookup uses the PNR, passenger names and flight date; the described agency lookup uses passenger names, flight number and date. The prepaid-baggage and change-flight forms request the PNR along with the names, flight number and date for either purchase channel.
In Traveloka, open Bookings in the account used for purchase. The e-ticket resend form uses Booking ID, departure date and the original booking mobile number, then sends the ticket to the original booking email address. Keep the issued ticket separate from an unpaid order or payment instruction.
Lion Air's published policy gives Economy passengers 10 kg of included checked baggage on domestic and international JT flights for tickets bought or rescheduled from 17 July 2025. Earlier tickets retained the previous route-based allowance. A quoted 15 kg or 20 kg legacy allowance should not be treated as the current standard for a new JT purchase.
For a journey with 20 kg of ordinary checked luggage, the current 10 kg standard leaves 10 kg of additional weight to include in the total trip cost. Compare the ticket plus that addition with the other ticket choices meeting the same luggage need. Cabin baggage is a separate allowance.
Lion Air publishes prepaid additions of 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 or 30 kg, with a maximum prepaid purchase of 30 kg per passenger. These are additions to the ticket's included allowance. The published advance-purchase cutoff is six hours before departure.
The service can be purchased through the airline website, travel agents or Lion Air offices. The airline describes advance purchase as less expensive than airport excess baggage. With 10 kg included and a 10 kg prepaid addition, the combined checked allowance is 20 kg; weight above that total still incurs excess charges.
Unused prepaid weight is not refundable. The published policy does not permit a standalone prepaid-baggage refund; it can be addressed with an eligible e-ticket refund. Surfboard and bicycle handling fees are separate from the prepaid weight purchase. Keep the baggage receipt with its passenger and flight.
The JT cabin table lists one main bag up to 7 kg and 40 × 30 × 20 cm, plus one personal item. The cabin bag must fit within the permitted size as well as the weight. Do not apply Thai Lion or Batik Air Malaysia dimensions merely because the airlines share a group relationship.
For itineraries connecting JT with Wings Air's ATR service, the published group table uses the smaller 35 × 30 × 20 cm cabin size. A suitcase that fits the JT jet allowance can therefore exceed the connecting aircraft's size limit. Keep the operating carrier for every sector with the itinerary.
Lion Air's policy distinguishes ordinary luggage from certain large boxed or bulk packages. Cardboard, Styrofoam, container boxes, sacks and other listed packaging above 35 × 35 × 30 cm can fall outside the free-baggage category and attract a minimum excess charge equivalent to 5 kg, even if lighter. The published rule has a separate exception for special-baggage packaging.
A prepaid weight allowance does not remove an item's handling requirements. Sports and musical equipment can count within the relevant weight provision, while surfboard or bicycle handling remains separate. Keep the item's type and packaging in the cost comparison rather than counting kilograms alone.
The official legacy JT check-in application displays a BookCabin app-only notice and a disabled Retrieve button. Its visible PNR and last-name fields should not be mistaken for an active browser check-in service. The notice directs passengers to BookCabin for the digital check-in process.
After completing the available check-in process, retain the boarding pass. Retrieving or reprinting an e-ticket does not complete check-in. Checked luggage still needs airport acceptance, and identification used for the booking must remain available for the airport process.
Lion Air's own refund form is limited to purchases through its direct website, app, call centre or ticketing offices. It explicitly directs tickets purchased through a travel agent or another airline back to that seller. For a Traveloka purchase, use the issued e-ticket's available Refund service or booking support and retain the request reference.
The airline's published Indonesia-market table distinguishes ordinary Economy from Promo booking classes T, V, X, R, O and U. Those Promo voluntary-refund entries return airport taxes only, while ordinary Economy has time-based deductions. An included checked bag does not make a ticket refundable without deductions.
For a Traveloka reschedule, use the issued booking's available service or support, select the affected passengers and flights, and complete the required process and payment. Keep the revised ticket and address separate seat or baggage records for the replacement flight.
Lion Air's published Indonesia-market change table allows the same or a higher booking class; downgrades and passenger-name changes are not permitted under that table. Change charges and any replacement-fare difference are separate. Moving to a different flight is not complete merely because its booking details can be displayed.
The current form displays Booking Reference (PNR), First Name, Last Name, Flight Number and Flight Date. Match the passenger names to the reservation. The airline reference is separate from the Traveloka Booking ID.
Open Bookings in the account used for purchase. Traveloka’s resend form uses Booking ID, departure date and the original booking mobile number, and sends the ticket to the original booking email address. Keep the airline PNR with the issued itinerary.
For JT tickets bought or rescheduled from 17 July 2025, the published Economy standard is 10 kg on domestic and international flights. Earlier tickets retained their previous route-based allowance. A new 20 kg checked-luggage requirement therefore needs 10 kg above the current standard.
The published additions are 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 or 30 kg, with a maximum prepaid purchase of 30 kg per passenger. They add to the ticket allowance. The purchase cutoff is six hours before departure; weight above the included plus prepaid total still incurs excess charges.
The published policy does not permit a standalone prepaid-baggage refund, and unused remaining weight is not refundable. The service can be addressed with an eligible e-ticket refund. Surfboard and bicycle handling fees are separate from the prepaid weight purchase.
JT’s main cabin bag is up to 7 kg and 40 × 30 × 20 cm, plus a personal item. The group’s JT–Wings ATR connection table uses the smaller 35 × 30 × 20 cm size, so a bag that fits the JT jet provision can exceed the connecting aircraft’s limit.
The official legacy JT application displays a BookCabin app-only notice and disables Retrieve. Its remaining PNR and last-name fields do not establish an active browser service. Ticket lookup is separate from check-in and obtaining a boarding pass.
Lion Air’s form is for its specified direct purchase channels and directs travel-agent tickets back to the seller. Use Traveloka’s issued e-ticket refund service or booking support for a Traveloka purchase, retaining the request reference.
No. The published Indonesia-market table separates change charges from the replacement-fare difference and permits the same or higher booking class, without downgrades. For a Traveloka purchase, complete the available reschedule process and retain the revised ticket and separate ancillary records.
Lion Air lists certain packaging above 35 × 35 × 30 cm, including cardboard, Styrofoam, container boxes and sacks, outside the free-baggage category. Its rule applies a minimum 5 kg excess charge to listed packages even if lighter, with a separate exception for special-baggage packaging.
