- What You Can Expect -
The day starts with visiting the historical and geological wonder - Thingvellir National Park, where the American and Eurasian tectonic plates are pulling apart at a rate of a few centimeters per year.
After that, the journey will bring you to the Geysir park which is filled with bubbling and steaming geothermal springs. Although the famous Geysir does not often erupt anymore, the smaller, impressive, Strokkur erupts every 4-8 minutes and shoots a column of water up to 40 meters up in the air. Then you will continue to the magnificent Golden Waterfall. The water in the Hvítá river travels from the glacier Langjökull, tumbles, and plunges into a crevice some 32 m (105 ft.) deep in a dramatic display of nature’s raw power.
Then you will head to the Langjokull Glacier to explore the second largest glacier in Iceland by the Sleipnir Monster Truck. Sleipnir is specifically designed to travel on hostile glacier terrain. The leather seats, skyline windows, and AC system will provide maximum comfort on your ride.
