When requesting a refund in Traveloka, you may need to upload supporting documents. First, you will be asked to select a reason we have provided regarding your refund request, and some of the reasons will require you to provide additional documents.
Below are the available refund reasons along with their details:
1. Personal reason (self-cancellation)This reason is when you have a personal reason to request a refund. Usually, this reason doesn’t require an additional document.
2. SicknessIf the passenger(s) in your booking are unable to travel due to illness, you can request a refund under this reason. A supporting document, such as a medical letter, is required.
3. Force majeureThis reason covers unforeseen events beyond your control, such as natural disasters, riots, etc. Each airline has their own regulations whether you need to provide proof or not.
4. Canceled/rescheduled by airlineYou may select this reason if your flight schedule got changed by the airline without Traveloka notification. You need to provide proof such as a screenshot of the airline’s cancellation or reschedule notification.
5. Double booking the same flightChoose this reason if, for some reason, your booking was duplicated or you have two bookings with the same details. You will need to provide the Booking ID of the one you wish to refund.
6. PregnancyFor pregnancy-related reasons, you may provide a medical letter as the supporting document.
7. Passenger’s deathIf a passenger has passed away, you may request a refund under this reason. An official death certificate from the hospital or government is required to be uploaded.
Please note that the availability of refund reasons, the required document, the amount you will receive, and the refund duration may vary depending on the airline’s policy for your booking.
