I was there for 4 days, the internet never worked. The air conditioning works well only in the corridor and in the order of the hotel very bad in the rooms very bad.

Very friendly staff.
Old hotel needs better carpets, safe for each room, levelled floor without raised floor for the toilet, noise reduction for the rooms, cupboard space in the rooms, more surface area in the toilet, visible notice about storage of complementary tea, coffe, cup and sources, more hand towels.

Friendly and helpful staff. ABH is located is a great position all within a short stroll to main street. The pub itself is really nice and updated, food was good quality although slightly higher in price for pub food. Huuuge sportsbar and almost anything you want to drink is available.
The room was smaller then expected (ocean view) There were some small things noticed like the room telephones are fitted but dont work. The room when coming back to after day out always had a pungent smell which we think came from the bathroom. The hall lights dont get dimmed at niggt so you will have a bit of light coming through the doorframe (i love a dark room). The doors in adjacent rooms are quite loud when closing so if your not an early riser or had a big night on the cans, expect to be woken by slamming doors all morning. If staying above the sportsbar expect a fair bit of ambient noise at night, either people talking or music. If your looking to cool off you will find the pool is pretty warm.
The lagoon down the road is much cooler. Id give this place a 4 out of 5.

Very disappointing. Booked Ocean View Room, could only see from Balcony edge. Could not sit on Balcony due to the level of noise continually from their PUB downstairs
Had to keep balcony door closed to drown out most noise but still at shocking level. . Needed to close curtain as well due to neighbours balcony looking directly into the room. No privacy at all. Noise from hallway from outside room as well. When we arrived hundreds of dirty laundry piled in front of room. Shower was over bath, not ideal, shower screen was dirty and tiles had mould. Bathroom had lip on floor for door which myself and partner both tripped over.
Tea cups not suitable side for tea. Location was good. But I would never stay here again. Overpriced and way under delivered.

Got nothing for the amount paid currently staying in mackay for half the priceand offering twice the service. My total review very very poor for 375 dollars. And the smell was unbearable sorry you wont see us again. And i will be telling others
