Amazing staff!

I’m very pleased with choosing this hotel

In a position on the edge of the vibrant China town area very convenient for the free city centre tram network and adjacent to many great dining options. A lovely small apartment hotel with friendly personal service. The rooms are well thought out with a kitchen and dining area and everything you need to self cater if you wish. Great value compared with larger hotels in the crowded central tourist areas. Everything is accessible for tourists on foot or using the trams.

Excellent location, friendly staff and well-equipped room!

The front desk staff, namely Daniel, were so kind and accommodating. He went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. It's a very basic hotel but for the cost and location, I cannot complain. Would definitely book again for a brilliant, cheap option in the heart of the city.

Stayed for 6 nights. Good room service, hotel and room clean. Security is excellent. At the Reception, great people to always welcome with a smile even when cheked in at 2 am and very helpful. Vicinity to city centre is great. Walking distance to Tram less than 2 mins. Organised own breakfast. If a mini electric stive and a pan could have been provided would have just been superb. My bad, i did not ask for. Great experience at City Limits.

Centrally located in the Theatre District,this hotel offers convenience with comfort.

City Limits is a great city fringe hotel option! It has been in the same location for many years, has fantastic friendly staff and a comfortable feel. Slightly less well appointed than the big hotels, but also less expensive!

This is my new favourite inner Melbourne hotel. It's up the end of Little Bourke, which is quiet but still close to everything. It has 24 hour reception, and the lovely man checking me in was chatty, informative and super-friendly. He went out of his way to check me in early. There is free (good) coffee in the lobby and filtered water on top. The room itself was spacious with a King-size, super-comfy bed, and everything else you would expect for a 4-star kind of experience. I like the relaxed, non-fussy vibe. And it's next door to a great Melbourne cafe where breakfast is available 7 days a week.

The position, stay and staff excellent we had some trouble with our room and brought this to the attention of staff and was fixed promptly

This was my second stay here, and once again, it was a very pleasant experience. The hotel was clean and well-maintained, with friendly staff who were always happy to help. A nice perk was the no extra charge coffee machine in the guest lounge. Price-wise, rates can fluctuate depending on the season and local events, but anything under AUD 150 per night is very reasonable for what’s on offer here. Overall, I had no complaints and would definitely recommend it for a comfortable, hassle-free stay.

Nice, simple no-nonsense small hotel with big clean rooms. Next to a lot of bars and restaurants. Great for solo travellers. My room had also a small kitchenette with a microwave, sink and some plates and cutlery, which was nice. Only problem I had was the exhaust fan didn’t work well, so bathroom would fog up a bit, but fades away quickly

Great location right in downtown shopping area, Chinatown and free tram zone of this small budget hotel with free coffee, tea and water in the lobby. Room was clean, spacious, comfortable bed and nice newly l done bathroom. Lily was super nice to lend me the Aussie power outlet adapter to charge my phone. It’s recommended to anyone with budgetary mind to stay in Melbourne.

Close to restaurants

We stayed at City Limits for 4 days and would definitely recommend. The staff were always super lovely and greeted us every time we left or returned. It is in the perfect location for both expensive and cheap eats. The street noise at some points of the stay was noticeable, mostly surrounding restaurants throwing glass in their recycling bins or car horns, but we were aware of this from other reviews prior to booking. Easy to get everywhere needed. For the price, it can’t be beat!
