Lovely old building. Small double room & bed *is* small but clean, comfortable and well-appointed with a window that opens as well as aircon. Probably not the room for a standard Aussie couple, one of whom is male, as the bed is foreshortened by a cushioned bedhead. Friendly staff, nice front lounge. Well-priced and located. My only complaint was lack of hot water on the day of departure. Bring a plug for your phone charger.

Great place to stay. Room 202 had issues with the basin plug getting stuck when closed. This was fixed. The shower door didn’t close properly so the floor was sodden after each use. This was not fixed despite a two night stay

People at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. Rooms are simple and clean, offers good views to the city. Within walking distance to wharf, botanical gardens, and dowtown area. I left an item and they were efficient in helping me recover it.

Great hotel. Gorgeous inside and out. The staff very accommodating. Exceptional value for money. Eat nearby at Fei Jai, excellent Asian food. It would have been nice to be able to access the coffee making facilities before 8am. Make sure you take a morning break walk to wards the Opera House. Would definitely book again.
