The Sebel Sydney Chatswood

Location was good, reception staff good. Unit itself very tired in need of a few repairs, sofa bed provided for 2 children was dreadful.

Room was adequate and location good. Pool was pleasant but no towels or staff available. Spa was broken and it of service- big disappointment for kids. We booked for 4 people but room was set up for 3 - sufficient beeds but not enough towels or pillows. No one answered when I called reception and staff were not very helpful when I went downstairs in search of extra. Not what I would expect from a 4 star hotel.

Great location

The place has become very rundown and badly needs an upgrade. The room had a musty smell. The taps were water saving so the water stream came out very tiny. This the water splattered out of the basin and made the floor wet. The fixed head shower with water saver made showering difficult. Can’t justify this price now. However, the staff were nice and location was great!

We arrived Christmas Eve after travelling for 4 hours and was told we did not have a booking despite having an email confirmation and an email from the property a few days earlier to confirm. After a very long time and phone calls we were given an apartment that was fine except we had to use a sofa bed (originally booked two singles). The room was not serviced in any way during the 4 days and when I advised this to reception, I basically was given a shrug in response, Very disappointing for a very expensive Christmas stay.

We have stayed at this hotel about four or five times over the last 10 to 15 years. It’s such a shame that it’s been let go. It has good bones and is a fantastic location but it needs a good clean and there is no attention to detail. We had to move from the first room because it had an mould smell and the carpet was a trip hazard for my elderly mother.

Very comfortable, large 2 bedroom and 2 bathroom apartment. We stayed with grandchildren and really enjoyed our stay. The pool area as lovely and under cover. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Public transport and shops are very close.

Great location! Very spacious

The location is the best feature of this accommodation. It is near and convenient to shops and public transportation. It has spacious rooms, kitchens, and living areas. The staff are friendly and helpful.

We enjoy our stay in Sebel Chatswood. Very close to everything very Convenient. Just a stuggle to open the door.

We stayed for 3 nights in the 2 bed apartments, the apartment was great and had everything we needed! Aircon wasnt super great but could have just been our room! Close to Westfield and train stations. We will definitely stay again!

Great room with so much room. Felipe was very helpful on arrival and his instructions were spot on. We will stay here again for sure when we visit Sydney.

Initial reaction was poor- bell on reception desk was broken & I waited around 10 minutes for reception staff to check in. But otherwise for dated accommodation the room was clean & well appointed & well located.

Check in was painful. The front desk staff did not make the process easy. We were told there weren’t enough fobs to access the car park (we had paid extra for parking) so we just had to push the “red and green button for access” we did this and still weren’t able to be let in. We finally got in behind another car. Property was excellent, the apartment and amenities were lovely. The next morning we again couldn’t get out of the car park and had to ring the property from our phone to be let out. This took over 10 minutes and made us late for our next destination. This was all reported to the front desk staff and all we got in response was a repeated “oh ok” from the staff. Despite the nice apartment we will not stay here again

Booked a last minute weekend with the kids. Two bedroom apartment was plenty of room. Bit on the older side but was great. Close to shopping, food. Kids enjoyed a morning swim. Only downside was communication regarding wifi, breakfast and room service. Not sure if these were available

Don’t stay here if you like to sleep! The train station next door runs until 2am and starts up at about 5am and the windows in our room didn’t close properly and don’t appear to be double glazed. Otherwise convenient to station and shops.

The apartment was very spacious and clean. Washing machine smelled funny, so didn’t use it.

Stayed here before and I would stay again however was disappointed the TV was not a smart TV and no TV in main room for parents escape.

Kids loved the pool and spa...it was the reasin we booked there. I think charging an extra $30 after paying over $500 a night was a bit much...it should be free parking for your stay.

Great location as you are just across the road from Westfield and next door to Mandarin Centre. Everything is just at your doorsteps. Very close to Chatswood station as well. The hotel itself is a bit rundown but the sheets and towels are clean. We got a city view room and we could see fireworks from Darling Harbour on Saturday night. The only downside is they only do housekeeping if you stay for 7 nights or more. Overall will definitely book again when we visit Sydney next time.
