Friendly staff and a very nice buffet breakfast with spectacular views. The double family room worked well for our family of 4 with 2 teenagers. The hotel is an outdated, but everything is clean and maintained.

Really nice Austrian guest house. Family operated. Restaurant on site, Spectacular view of the church and the mountains around Innsbruck. And wherever you go to rent skis etc, everyone knows "The Bear".

The property itself was quite nice. The shower was inconvenient having a hand held shower head that didn’t rotate. Additionally, I paid more for a double room where colleagues paid for a single room and double room with no balcony and were given balcony upgraded rooms with no charge. As a “VIP” member who attempted to have us all stay near one another, I got the short end of the stick.

Excellent views of the Alps. Quaint area and hotel. Restaurant had amazing food. The rooms were good overall but beds were uncomfortable

Great place

This is a lovely ski type hotel. We had the attic double connecting bedroom. The food was very good. The staff all spoke excellent English far better than my pidgeon German.

Traditional, charming Tyrolean hotel in a village high up in the mountains yet only about 20 mins from Innsbruck. The views from the rooms with balconies are absolutely spectacular - I only wish I could have stayed longer.

Beautiful hotel in a beautiful village. Stayed in a great room with 2 bedrooms, perfect for a family of 4. The owners are so nice and helpful. Breakfast was great. We will go back for sure.

Stayed for one night as heading to Italy. Extremely friendly staff and excellent food in the restaurant. The view is amazing. The room would need a bit updating, but otherwise nice and clean. I would recommend this place.

This is a charming hotel with breathtaking views of the Alps and lovely hosts. It’s 10kms from Innsbruck in a small village so it’s quiet, but there’s a bus service to Innsbruck if you don’t want to drive. Meals are served in the restaurant which has a terrace for eating or drinking in summer and the views are incredible. Parking is onsite, there is an elevator and the busy hostess speaks excellent English. Highly recommended.

We had a great stay at Bärenwirth. The staff was pleasant and the hotel is in great shape for a place originally built in the 1500s! Unfortunately we didn't eat at the restaurant (which looked really good!), but we did get to enjoy the amazing views of the mountains!

We loved our stay in Patsch! The view was incredible from our balcony and all around the lovely little town. The only thing to note is that Patsch is a notoriously windy location in the fall. As soon as you get to the next hillside for your hike/ski, however, you will be out of the wind again. Barenwirth is easily accessible from the main autoroute and close to many beautiful hiking or skiing areas. Our hosts spoke excellent English and gave us helpful advice and directions for places to visit. The restaurant served delicious local food. We truly enjoyed this traditional, family owned chalet and highly recommend it!

The views and then the clouds below us in the morning. The food was excellent. The service perfect. The hosts couldn’t have been nicer.

We stayed at the Barenwirth Hotel in the town of Patsch, Tyrol, Austria for a period of 12 Days. The hospitality of the owners and staff were exceptional. The views from the hotel and from Patsch in general were simply wonderful ! The hotel provides roundtrip bus passes each day to the nearby City of Innsbruck (a 16 minute bus ride), which is a beautiful and interesting city. There were mountain paths nearby for those who want to hike, as well as a very lovely park and forest trails nearby in the town of Igls (called Congress Park). There is a bus stop right in front of the Park, which makes it very convenient to get to by bus (about 4 minutes). The food at the hotel was exceptionally good, and the equal of anything that we tried in Innsbruck. We enjoyed our stay at the hotel very much, and we plan to return within the next 10 months ! A very nice and comfortable hotel, located in an exceptional location, operated and staffed by exceptionally nice and capable people !!

We had an amazing experience here! The hotel was perfectly located in the lovely village of Patsch, a short 12 minute drive to the center of Innsbruck, the views of the Alps from our room were spectacular, the restaurant was excellent, and our hosts very kind and attentive. One of our many fond memories is the soothing sound of the cow bells in the mornings and evenings. We hope to return again!
