This hotel was so grand back in its day but still excellent in an old fashioned kind of way. The location is very convenient but a bit scary a nighttime. Rooms were clean and the breakfast good.

It was fine. We had a bad experience at reception. Even though it was our fault (we forgot some documents), they could have treated us better. The price was really expensive compared to some other hotels I've been in. And for how expensive it was, the room quality was totally average. We ordered dinner from room service, and it was passable. Better to eat out though. The breakfast was the best part of it. Nice that it's right next to the bus station, easy to get around the city.

Very nice hotel with a amazing history. On the 90's they were considered one of the most traditional hotels in the city. Me and my family are clients here for more than 30 years. Good service. Good offer of food at the restaurant. Parking (with extra cost), swimming pool at the rooftop, with a amazing view for the city. Also good location. Located at downtown, in front of the bus station. Only 20min. walking until the Guaíba river.

Friendly, safe, clean, comfortable, centrally located, affordable. Great value. Thanks to the reception staff, Paulo Gilberto, Rafael Castro, and Debora Pocinelli; in addition, the fifth floor, house keeping lady. If you come to Porto Alegre, stay at the Ritter!
