Good value for money. The swimming pool is too small. The dining area is small for too many people. There are not enough lifts for such a crowded place. Be careful when do check out, because they charged us with some water bottles from the fridge we never drank.

In general, everything is great. The room is nice, the bathroom is great, the bed is very comfortable. I'm giving it 4 stars just because of the breakfast. It didn't meet my expectations. There are plenty of options with local food which is not what a foreigner would usually eat for breakfast.

One of five different Ritz hotels in Maceió. Its evaluation can be summed up with "adequate but nothing more". If you intend to use this place as a base for sleep and food only, you'll be well served. If you want more out of the Ritz Suites, you might be better off elsewhere. The bedrooms are basic, not even a generic piece of art on the wall. It has a small fridge and kitchen but no kettle or iron. There's good but noisy airco and 2+1 beds. You'll find a table and chairs. Bathroom is basic but sufficient, shower is comfortable and warm. We couldn't get the safe to work and the TV was also less intuitive than it should. It gets warm without airco in the room. We could hear things from outside but I'd say it's a quiet place and neighborhood. Very important: internet is available but really bad. As in previous century bad. Connection intermittent, you can basically forget about watching videos and you might have to be outside your room for a half decent connection. The restaurant is good, we love to have breakfast and dinner here. It's buffet style where you order drinks separately. Breakfast is again adequate, nothing bad nor remarkably good but plentiful and lots of options. Starts at 6 which is ok (dawn's at 5). It's possible to request a breakfast to go for if you want to leave earlier, for example. Dinner is more interesting, with some variety and the chance of something really tasty. Not sure if vegetarians or vegans will be equally happy here. Plenty of salads and fruits. I like the desserts but the ice cream is meh. We're happy with the restaurant, we've never felt the need to eat somewhere else. Afaik it's possible to order food in your room and it's also possible to order from outside, for if you crave pizza for example. The restaurant is open 4 hours for breakfast and dinner, I don't know the times for lunch. It can get busy at certain times. There's a small clothes shop, a hairdresser, internal parking space, a bar and a small swimming pool. The swimming pool really is an afterthought, it's in the shade for a good part of the day and not very deep. There are only a few lounge chairs available. If the only ones in your party interested in bathing are small children, the pool can be adequate. There's also a tiny but well equipped gym. I love it, would happily take it home. Service in the hotel is excellent, staff is friendly and helpful. The people selling tours or pictures generally don't get in your way. It's possible to get by with Spanish and some patience but I doubt it's just as easy with English. The location's a mixed bag. There's a large supermarket and a very nice mall in walking distance (10 - 15 minutes, crossing the road demands nerves of steel) but everything else requires transport. Maceió is difficult for taxi's, Uber's the standard but our first use of an Uber lead to an attempt to defraud us. The hotel is next to a beach but that one's not open for swimming and the best beaches seem to be (far) out of the city anyway. Last point of criticism is that the hotel is really too large for the 3 (not all too smart, fast or large) elevators. We're reasonably happy with our choice of hotel. We would have liked it to be closer to an actual beach with bathing opportunities. Since we're here for pure holiday pleasure, it's a bit hard to recommend this hotel outright. If however you're here with your own transport or you've booked a lot of tours, then it'll be "adequate". Edit: I've revised my score, I lowered it from 3 to 2 because we've experienced rush hour in the breakfast restaurant and with the elevators a few times. There really is a structural design flaw with regard to capacity. Service remains excellent.

The hotel is very good with a nice pool, there is a small gym if you like to exercise, a bar to have some drinks and the restaurant is very nice. Receptionists are very polite and helpful. The room is quite big and comfortable. It's in front of the beach and the view is fantastic. There is a shopping mall not far from the hotel and a supermarket. It's a nice hotel to stay in.

Nice room but lacking in service. Felt harassed by the hotel staff trying to waste our time to go look at a time share offering less than 10 dollars per person as a voucher for doing this. Ridiculous!
