In town for hockey at Stanstead College. Situated perfectly in Orford within walking distance to trails, parks, shops and restaurants. Staff members were wonderful and the beds were very comfortable. If you're a low maintenance traveller, it has more amenities than a hotel and the animals make up for all that is lacking. Kids are too old for the play area but it was nice and it seems they do their best with what they have to work with. It’s clear from the photos the place is dated so I don’t undersrand why people book here and then complain about it being dated!? There’s other options for a lot more money!

Hotel had multiple pools indoor and outside, beautiful grounds, small zoo and great recreation room for kids. We enjoyed our stay a lot.

Un gros manque d'entretiens de la section des jeux pour enfants. Il y avait énormément de nourritures et de débrits sur les planchers. Les jeux étaient mal entretenus et dangereux a certains endroits (plancher non-fixé de plus de 6 pieds de hauteur) mes enfants auraient pu tomber tellement le trou étaient gros. Les filets de sécurité arrachés, plusieurs sections de métal non protégés, manettes de jeux non-fonctionnelles (1 manette fonctionnait sur 4). Pour ce qui est de la chambre, la toilette n'était pas fixée au sol et il y avait de la moisissure dans la douche. Les meubles étaient agés et endommagés. Encore un gros manque d'entretien. Tres belle emplacement et belle configuration des chambres a l'extérieur du pavillion principale.

Not soundproof at all and more of a family place so loud teenager noises until late. Room was set to 30 Celsius and hard to cool. Shower hard to get hot water. Safe, clean and inexpensive...but not comfortable.

Our room was on the first floor and smelled very, very musty when we walked in. My 4 year old grandaughter immediately commented that it smelt "really bad" so we opened up the patio door and turned on the bathroom fan which eventually helped. The pool temperature was quite cool and the indoor hottub jets would not turn on when we tried the switch unfortunately. The outdoor hottub was working properly and was quite lovely. There were no bathrobes in the room and when we inquired at the front desk we were informed we would have to pay for them. We declined so not sure what the cost would have been. Very quiet during our stay. We come here for my grandaughter and she was very happy so thats all that matters.

The bathroom was not really clean, when we came in there was "pine Thorns" on the floor of the bathroom. The bathtub was very not "welcoming" either. There was dust all over the edge of the Mirror.

I was surprised with the retainer fee, but I guess it is the new norm in hotel booking. I am still waiting for the return of that fee. The spa facilities were good so as the Table d’Hôte meal. The fireplace ambiance was fantastic. My daughters soup was clod so as was her tea. Both had to be reheated. We did give a generous tip because the poor waiter was alone serving many tables.

Nice to have our own cottage like room. Parking and access to the room wasn’t great, but within tolerable walking distance. Nice grounds. An 8/10 stay. Customer service at check in was excellent.

Very comfortable room, although we would have liked a firmer mattress. Property is showing its age in areas, but is clean and reasonable in cost (note: we stayed during the off-season in transit to our next destination).
