Holiday Inn Express BEIJING YIZHUANG, an IHG Hotel

Excellent customer service! Breakfast was included in the booking which was a pleasant surprise. They had a whole range of facilities such as laundry (¥40 for the washer and dryer), fitness centre (fully equipped with the latest treadmills, interactive Peloton tracker, weights area and strength and conditioning section), excellent intercontinental buffet breakfast and extremely clean rooms. The only issue was that none of the staff spoke English. I would have expected at least this for an international chain of hotel. Instead they were using translators.

We have enjoyed staying there for 3 nights. The breakfast was full of veggies and variety of food. The room was clean. All aspects were wonderful. If there were one thing lacking I would say that there’s some smoking smell in the hallway. Comparing with other hotels we had been, it was mild.

Great service and friendly staff. Clean, comfortable and spacious modern rooms with. Just no bath tube, which would have been nice on these cold days. Convenient location next to a shopping mall (Han's Plaza) with lot's of restaurant choices. Breakfast is very Chinese style with a wide selection of different dishes, however there is not much choice for western. Most important, there are many fresh brewed good coffee-makers available. Seating space could be more on peak hours 7:30~8:30am. if you plan to go to downtown of Beijing, it will take you about 1h by car each way, if there is no traffic jam. So if you plan to visit sights inside of Beijing, you may consider other hotels. If you're in the area of the hotel it won't matter. Enjoy your stay

As a positive note the hotel is very new and breakfast is good. Room was clean. Location is close to metro station but will take you 40 min to get to the center of Beijing, so keep in mind. Staff should improve their English.

Far away from any of the attractions. Language was a problem.

Everything good But the hotel is far from CBD Have to change more train MTR if u go for famous attraction

Nothing for my Holiday In experiences going back 40+ years it was the worst - staff OK but none of the usual items of use eg. iron and soap in the room - very basic - parking difficult - used Pullman Hotel next door for two nights of dinner entertainment - will be staying with Pullman when next in Beijing - wont be back to HI again.

I stayed at the Holiday Inn express for five nights during my vacation in Beijing. Room was spacious and staff was very helpful even with limited English. Unfortunately I can’t leave a 5 star review because of the tour agency that the hotel is affiliated with. Tour agency only wanted to give us 30 minutes at Great Wall and take us shopping to jewelry stores and tea houses so they can make commission off sales. Someone has to remind hospitality managers that the Great Wall of China is the number one attraction in the country and if I’m flying from half way around the world to see it I would like to spend more than 30 minutes enjoying and exploring it. Apart from the tour experience everything else was fine.

The property is a little far from the main attraction however the tube ia close and quite straightforward.

Staff needs to speak a minimum level of English. Including restaurant staff

My family and I spent 6 nights at this hotel and I couldn't have asked for anything better. Fantastic.

Our stay at the Holiday Inn Beijing was terrific. We had the two bedroom suite. My family of four loved the space in the living room, separate beds, kitchenette, and the two bathrooms. The suite was very clean. The front desk staff helped us out tremendously with the language barrier and ordering taxi’s. The breakfast that was included was delicious. There was plenty western fare with a great Chinese spread as well. Even my picky eater found plenty to eat.

We had a fantastic experience at this hotel. We were given a 2 bedroom apartment with all household amenities. The breakfast buffet was excellent. The staff doesn’t speak English well but try really hard. It takes about 35 minutes to get to city center and about 50 minutes to the airport. Use the DiDi app to get around as it is low cost and effective.

This hotel was very nice. It wasn’t too far from the metro. There’s a small shopping mart next door. The breakfast was really, really good. They do very well on the food and the services they provide in the hotel. My friends stayed in the suite and the room was huge! 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.

Amazing hotel! Located right off the subway. Excellent for getting around. More in a business district so you have to get on the subway to see our do anything. Not too many restaurants close by. Breakfast was amazing, Chinese style. You can't drink the water, but they provided the water bottles as you needed them at no cost. One strange thing is we stayed in the suite, it had a kitchen with some dishes (no pots and pans for the stove) but nothing to wash them with or wash cloths. Washer and dryer in the room was so nice to have. Great gym! If we go back to China, a definite place we'd stay.

Not Good location for Family and any Beijing activities. Struggled with communication as English not common at Hotel and struggled to get message across. Hotel too far out for Beijing activities.
