GHL Relax Hotel Sunrise

Very poor hotel tired and needs updating Staff very unhappy - not many smiling faces !! 2/3 star at the most !!! Breakfast too many guests not enough tables and insufficient food

I stayed at Sunrise Hotel for just one night and left immediately due to the terrible conditions. The hotel is old and poorly maintained, and the pictures on Expedia are highly misleading. There is no jacuzzi as advertised in the photos. The room was old with terrible humidity, and the bathroom water didn’t work initially. Later, the entire room started smelling like a sewer in the morning, with no clear source of the smell. The balcony door was so rusty and old that it couldn’t even be opened. The air conditioning is not adjustable in the room—you have to call the front desk to make it less cold. The TV didn’t work either. The worst part was the check-in process. Despite claiming check-in is at 3 PM, the reality is they provide the room anytime between 3 PM and 5:30 PM without prior notice. If they give you the room at 5:30 PM, shouldn’t you pay less? Check-out, however, is strictly at 12 PM. It’s unacceptable that they take no responsibility for this delay while expecting guests to adhere strictly to check-out times. I stayed here back in 2015 and thought it might have improved, but it remains exactly the same. Beware of the pictures—they do not reflect reality. I strongly advise against staying at this hotel.

This shabby wannabe resort hotel is kept in horrible condition. Cracks in the floor concrete, cracks in the walls, a gym that looks like a dark prison gym with machines from 30+ years Do not book with this run down hotel staffed by uneducated homoph*** who are unable to do their job to welcome and protect their guests. Not lgbt friendly We left one night early and changed our flights to escape this bizarre horrible hotel

Do not recommend, pictures on the website are deceiving, the hotel is poorly maintained, dirty and noisy rooms, stay away.

THE LOBBY SMELL VERY BAD. LOOK LIKE THE SEWER HAS PROBLEM

My second time staying there. I was aware it was 3 star ahead of time. I chose this hotel because of its location and amenities. It has a great view, boat dock, and gym. The room quality is the downside.

This property is horrendous. Not maintained, old, rusty, smelly, horrible beds, dirty, dripping. Horrendous food. Only good thing, reception service. It is also kind of the standard in the island.

No hot and pressure water. No wifi on the rooms . Bad customer sevices at the front desk . Very uncomfortable.

You can’t expect too much because you’re on the island but for the value, it’s a great price. The air conditioner could not get the room cold enough and it was hot. The whole time the view is beautiful and the staff was great. It’s just an old Hotel my tile was broken in the shower and Online it shows bathtub. They don’t have bathtubs if you’re on a budget. It’s a great place to stay.

La infraestructura del hotel está en pésimas condiciones, lobby deteriorado, habitaciones con mobiliario viejo y maltratado, baño en malas condiciones, ducha que tira agua para el techo, los pasillos sucios y solo sirve el elevador de servicio. La piscina y el bar son lo único agradable, aunque también están viejos u necesitan remodelación. El wifi no llega a mi habitación del segundo piso, la calidad del desayuno bastante baja y el servicio nunca llegó a la mesa ninguno de los 3 días para ofrecer al menos agua. El check in a las 3 es una falta de respeto ya que comienzan a llamar a la gente como un Bingo y puedes estar hasta mas de 2 horas esperando tu habitación, no importa si llegaste antes de las 3:00.

Poor condition all around

The property was under construction and the main elevator did not work. We had to use the service one. The staff was helpful and they were eager to assist you patiently and friendly.

Just bad in almost every way -Construction signs and workers everywhere -Leaky roof (they put buckets on the floor in the library. How nice!) -No Wi-Fi in rooms -Mediocre or bad food depending on restaurant -Almost no staff speak English -Guest elevator broken. Guests have to use staff elevator. -No working air conditioner in one of the rooms we booked. Employees also refused to change room until the next day, and not until 3pm (how is this ok?) -No water pressure and very little hot water in the other room. -Everything is old and run down. I would not be surprised if this hotel pays for the good reviews it gets. It is a ripoff. Go somewhere else.

Had to wait too long for preparing the food. Staff took too long.

Property location is good and restaurant staffs are excellent. Hotel is old and AC has to be on all time, otherwise, I smells and humidity make the room uncomfortable. Bed sheets were not changed entire 7 days. Also, do not touch the snack bar because 2 bottle water, 1juice and candy bar will cost you $30 dollars
