The room smelt like stale cigarette smoke and the bathroom was dirty and smelt like mould. However the communal areas seemed ok.

Great place. Bit tired in places but good value for money for price. Very friendly welcome and staff. Only negatives were no desk in room. Had to do a three hour conference call from a bedside table. Also breakfast whilst cooked to order was poor quality ingredients. That said overall pleasant stay and good value.

No heating in my room, heaters didn't work. No phone to contact reception. No mirror in the bathroom.
English breakfast, although seemingly cooked nicely, bacon and sausage were dry and tough by the time they reached the table. Disappointing that tinned tomatoes were served.Good selection of cereal, fruit and juice.
This was an adequate but slightly disappointing stop over.

Comfortable bed, decent shower but everything is looking very tired and dated. Looks like it was last updated in the 80’s. Check in process pretty rubbish, took my name, asked for payment and done in a couple of minutes so from a speed perspective it was great except I wasn’t in a hurry and wasn’t given any details about food options, no info regarding the leisure centre or anything else for that matter. I booked this as I needed a cheap place to stay, it ticked that box so I can’t complain, ok for the money paid.

Before arriving at 8,45pm on a Sunday I rang the hotel to check if food was available. I was assured it was if I ordered before 9pm. When I arrived well before 9pm I was told the kitchen had closed. The person on the front desk told me was hungry too, which didnt help at all. He could rang me or messaged me to let me know there was no food but he did not.
Otherwise the hotel is average and a relic from an earlier decade, the rooms are ok and clean and cheap which which is a consideration - I recommend not having the breakfast though :(

Awful! It 20 minutes to check even though I was the only one waiting. I asked about using the gym which cost an additional £4… then when I tried to use the gym again in the morning they charged me again. The gym is poor and cramped too! Not worth it… the food was average and the staff didn’t seem to care. There are plenty of hotels in the area and I will be using one of those in future.
