Air conditions so bad, Weak wifi But staff Service good.

The room is literally just a bed & a TV. No bedside tables, no lamp no chair ect. I know it's Budget- but is really no lighting behind the bedframe or somewhere to put a bottle of water or my phone when charging to much to ask when paying over £100 still?! Lol. The window was also very dodgy - the curtain was actually blowing whilst it was shut so the room overall was pretty cold! Cons - Room a bit cold due to windows not sealed properly. No bedside table. Small shower room meaning once you've showered you need to pop shoes on to go in the bathroom or get wet socks as no bath matt is supplied. Super firm bed & flat pillows. No mirror in the bedroom & no plug sockets near the bathroom so straightening hair hard work Pro's - Close to the train station. Shower pressure decent. Overall the room was clean. Bodywash/soap dispenser in the bathroom. Lighting in the bathroom good. Plus sockets at each side of the bed.

The room was cold and no heating turned on and 3 nights the room was not clean once.

East hotel meet a need for cheap and affordable accommodation that’s above staying in a hostel but below staying somewhere like a Travelodge.

This is more than a basic budget hotel, was not at all what we expected. It is very near to the train station which is a plus, literally less than a 5 min walk. The room we had was a 'twin' room. We had to give each other way as we couldn't even pass each other the space was so tight. The bathroom we did not dare turn on the shower as it would have soaked the whole space and the hand wash basin was soo small you hardly could brush your teeth without water going everywhere. Would not choose to stop in this chain of hotels again. Using the word basic, does not give a true picture of how basic it is.

Was supposed to be wheelchair accessible room but it wasn’t.very small room couldn’t turn wheelchair around and no bedside cabinets to put a drink on apart from that was ok for one night

Good location just outside of London, only took us 45 minutes to get to the centre which was ideal. You get what you pay for, the rooms are very basic and wasn’t serviced once in 3 nights, there was 2 of us staying and we only got provided with a bath mat and 1 towel which wasn’t enough considering they weren’t replaced while we were there. Some concerns over their fire procedure and staff not helpful at all, fire alarm went off in the morning intermittently so we went down the stairs next to our room to reach the bottom floor and there was no door handle and the door was locked, there was only a doorbell which we rang and no member of staff came to us, I had to ring reception to ask them what was going on to which they told us we didn’t need to evacuate, some red flags there seeing that no one told us it was a drill and the door out the fire exit was locked meaning we were stuck. The room we stayed in was also an ‘accessible’ room with a wet room but it was on the 7th floor meaning if someone staying was in a wheelchair they wouldn’t be able to evacuate in a fire. If you want basic accommodation just outside London it’s ideal but a lot of safety concerns especially if you need an accessible hotel.

Great as usual, the room is big and comfortable, clean and convenient for the East Croydon station. The only downside was that people next door were loud till early hours, not rowdy, just having loud arguments. Otherwise very good.

Drug addicts, drunks and homeless people outside the hotel. Room was very basic. One hanger in the wall, literally just the bed in the room. Bathroom was small but clean. Our room was near to the elevators so heard the doors banging all night.

No heater the room was cold

Very basic, very small room, but generally clean and secure. Great if you just need a bed for the night. We will use this hotel again in future.

Clean room hallways were dirty

Well... Arrived to the property to find a car park covered in smashed glass, rubbish all over the car park. Once inside there was nobody to check in with but staff stood chatting even after seeing me standing there. Eventually one of the staff checked me in. That night i couldn't sleep, woke at midnight ish to find bugs in the bed. I went to find someone however once again nobody around nobody to help. I packed up and left. The next day I contacted the hotel to see if i can get another room or a refund if another room wasn't possible, they explained because I didn't speak to anyone i couldn't receive either!! I spoke to the customer service team here who couldn't do anything! So not only am i down an overpriced hotel but had to spend to stay elsewhere. AVOID this hotel- disgusting overpriced dirt hole

The room was very hot.

Provided what I need ,Bed to rest after a flight for the price I pay I would say it’s reasonable .

No tea/coffee facilities in room. Had to get hot drinks via vending machine not suitable if need it middle of night or first thing in the morning.

As advertised, the rooms are as basic as possible. Just a bed and a tv in n the room and a fixed coat hanger on the wall. Sockets both mains and usb either side of the bed were handy. Bathroom with sink toilet and shower was clean and well presented. A bit of street noise could be heard even after closing the secondary window. For an overnight stay and morning freshen up it was perfect for me. If you expect more then go elsewhere.

I would recommend this to anyone who needs a nice safe place to stay while conducting their business in the Croydon vicinity. The staff are very very helpful and kind. I will be staying there going forward.
