Edgcott House

We had a lovely stay at this charming property. Our hosts were excellent. Easy parking. Warm, comfortable and clean bed with generous ensuite. Breakfast was really good! Will definitely include this on our list of places to stay again. Highly recommended.

A lovely place to stay all round, spotlessly clean, with great hosts. Great breakfast served in an impressive room. Our room (no.1) was spacious and very comfortable with a great view of the front garden area and countryside beyond. Very peaceful. Easily walkable into Exford village along a very quiet country road.

Stayed for one night only. Very friendly hosts, nice welcome treat in room, great breakfast. History of the house inside booklet was worth a read. Would book again.

We always include a stopover at Edgcott House when holidaying in Cornwall because it is so good. Always made to feel welcome and it is the extra touches which make a difference. Homemade cake and fresh milk in our room on arrival. Quality bathroom toiletries. A good nenu for breakfast, including local produce and home cooked fruit is always delicious. This time it was greengages. Very comfortable beds. Would definitely recommend.

Wonderful 1 night stay. Traditional English property set in beautiful surroundings. Service was friendly and the room had everything we needed (including some nice touches like fresh milk). Breakfast is first class.

Lovely guest house in a great location within Exmoor. Local pub with good food for an evening meal a walkable distance away. Very friendly hosts always willing to help. Breakfast was cooked superbly with great options.

Lovely accommodation great service. Penny and Simon were friendly and offered a very professional service. Fabulous Full English breakfast traditional or Vegetarian offered all locally sourced and beautiful. e had a very comfortable well maintained room with lovely en suite bathroom. Comfortable bed and beautifully decoratedroom and hotel. To arrive to lovely cake in our room was a nice touch at the end of a long car journey. A true find on the internet with a beautiful setting and gardens in a well maintained historical hotel. Could not recommend it highly enough would love to returm if back in West Country.

Amazing stay only for one night but totally relaxing.

This was an excellent choice for our two day stay in Exmoor. The property is not only situated in an easy to reach beautiful area, it’s a fabulous property throughout and is spotlessly clean. The breakfasts were truly magnificent and the homemade cake in the room was very much appreciated together with the bottled water, tea and coffee. I would definitely recommend Edgcott House to friends and family.

This property definitely warrants its high ranking. Would be hard to find fault. Owners very welcoming, room and bathroom spotlessly clean and attention to detail superb. Plenty of space in bedroom and bathroom and comfy bed. Homemade cherry cake with our tea/coffee facilities on arrival. House has a lovely feel to it. Breakfast room delightful and extent of breakfast menu amazing. (Poached Somerset greengages !! with yoghurt unusual and glorious). In addition to all of this the gardens are beautiful. Shame we were only staying one night. What a find!

Beautifully restored with lots if little touches that made your stay extra special. Very friendly hosts i cannot recommend this B&B highly enough the breakfast was delicious

Wonderful country house in the heart of Exmoor National Park. A charming character home with beautiful English garden in the quiet countryside near village of Exford. The generous breakfasts were gourmet, served in style in a lovely main room facing the garden. Tastefully furnished, scrupulously clean, welcoming hospitality, excellent advice for local hiking and touring. A wonderful stay!

Wonderful stay, everything was perfect. Room and bed were comfortable, food was amazing, and an excellent location to explore the park. Only wish we had stayed longer!

Beautiful old house, comfy bed and a comfy sofa bed for our son - we stayed one night (in room 1) on the way home from a trip to Exmoor zoo, going via Dunster castle the next day. Local pub (the Crown) good for food but take a torch! Our son loved seeing what dark is really like when we turned off the torches on the cloudy walk back! Breakfast was amazing and set us up fir the day. Pity we weren't there longer.

We had a lovely stay here! Quaint and cozy but pristinely clean with an updated feel. The bedroom was small but comfortable, with strong wifi and the bathroom had a big tub, which was great for a hot relaxing bath (thoroughly enjoyed that!!!) and the shower was nice too. The breakfast was perfect - lots of cereals, yogurt, juices, tea/coffee, a basket full of toast per couple and a long list of menu options for your made to order meal that looked like they came from a gourmet magazine. Even though the home is older and all rooms were booked we didn’t hear a peep from anyone or anything all night, which you definitely don’t get in the modern chain hotels. the area is quiet but there are a couple of restaurants in town. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone looking for a place in the area!
