Europa House Hotel

The area was great and so close to Paddington station. The staff were great and the room was alright. Comfy beds and a clean room. Down sides would be the shower as it was so small you would either turn off the shower or push it to the extremes of hot or cold. Water pressure wasn’t great either. The area has plenty of restaurants and the Kensington gardens/Hyde park is around the corner.

Pleasant stay

A hotel which let you go back to the 80’s immediately. Vintage style is no big deal for most of us, but super dirty and not clean at all. My worst stay in years of global traveling. No lighting in the stairway, good luck to you when you are carrying luggage and not fall down since you can’t see anything. The only heat source is a portable electric heater which I have to ask for it. There are many other options on the same street or within the same area. Do yourself a favor, search online, spend a few dollars mire per night, you will get so much better than here. This is like one cheap hostel quality with private bathroom, if that’s what you are looking for.

Have stayed in their small single, single, double and triple rooms. Thier small single is very very small but functional. All the other rooms are great, nice and comfortable. Ensuites are a mix, depending on the room they are either good or very compact. Overall a nice budget hotel that i stay at a good few times each year.

A not bad 2 days stay for a solo traveller

This hotel is in a 3 minute walking distance of Paddington Station. If you are getting a morning Heathrow Express train (which departs from Paddington), this is a perfect choice. The hotel staff are very helpful. The tea and milk are plentiful. It's not the Ritz, but it is excellent value for a decent room with bath in central London.

The hotel is in an excellent location and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The place is clean and seems to have been painted not too long ago. The rooms are very small and a bit outdated. I recommend this budget hotel.

My daughter and I stayed 5 nights. The room was small but clean. Bathroom also small but never short of hot water. Very convenient to tube and attractions. Would stay here again.

I stayed at the Europa for one night to attend a formal Christmas party. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and they let me check in a little earlier than the 3pm check in time. I stayed in a single room on the ground floor which was clean and had everything you would expect considering the price of the room (kettle, tea, coffee, towels, USB sockets, electric heater etc). The room was warm enough but, more compact than i expected and getting ready (hair, make-up etc) without a dressing table or a half length mirror was a little difficult! Overall, it was a pleasant hotel and i would definitely stay there again.

As a budget hotel in London it was absolutely fine. Room was clean and considering the location surprisingly quiet. Local area is much nicer than I remember with some good choices for food and drinks.

Good place for small trips

Cheap and cheerful property no lift and plenty of stairs which is good if your able bodied Clean rooms walls are thin so can hear conversations in other rooms Convenient for transport

The heater did not work, they had a small heater for the small room but it didn’t even warm the room, notified front desk he said it was working but the room was freezing even when I turned on the wall heater. Heating is very important especially during the winter

Ideal for Paddington Station. Great location. Clean, friendly, ideal for central London.

Walkable and easy access to tube and Paddington train station.

The room and bathroom were a lot smaller than showed on the website. There was no shower door just a curtain. Very very small shower area. Barely any pressure from the shower head. Water either freezing cold or boiling hot. Bed was very uncomfortable and pillow was really really thin. No heater in the bedroom. It was negative degrees at night and we were freezing cold. When we reported this in reception on check out we were told the heater has not been working and that we should have asked for a portable heater. No one informed us about this on check in. At the end of the day when we arrived the staff had open our bedroom window! When it was freezing outside and there was no heating. To reach the bedroom we had to go up 60 stairs. Only good points: staff was nice, room was clean and good location (5 minutes walk from Paddington station).

I enjoyed my stay. The staff were lovely. The only issue was that the radiator didn’t work so the room was cold on arrival. I tried turning the valves but it didn’t seem to help. I arrived late and only stayed for one night so happy enough with the experience. Thanks!
