Comfortable stay

Fantastic hotel. The room was spacious and clean. We stayed there as friends all came together for Christmas party. The radio was on playing christmas music. The room was cold but we turned radiator on and after having a drink in the bar downstairs room was cosy. Well stocked with pkenty if tea coffee and milk. Hairdryer and bsth robes provided. We stayed for breakfast and quality and presentation was excellent.

Hartford Hall is a nicely appointed hotel and pub in Northwich, situated between Chester and Manchester. My room was very comfortable with a big bed, a nice bathroom and shower, and good tea/coffee facilities including a coffee machine with pods. The downsides were the windows could do with replacing as my window wouldn't shut completely, meaning I could regularly hear the traffic going by. Thankfully there wasn't really a draft as the radiator was working well. With earplugs I slept fine but without, it was distracting. With proper double-glazing I think this issue would be mitigated. The adjoining pub is very popular and with a good variety of evening and breakfast options. Other than the window, I had a great stay and recommend!

Good accommodation - good food and drink - great staff

Customer service was excellent, rooms are tired and grubby. The shower needed cleaning before we got in it, there was something unpleasant on the tiles. Bathroom needed some attention-felt grubby with rust on shelf and sealant needing attention. Bed was very uncomfortable, we both woke with sore necks and backs. Food was excellent quality, however we ate dinner and it took about 40 minutes to arrive and breakfast was also very good but it took a long time to arrive, but worth waiting for. Staff were excellent finding us two chargers as we’d left ours at home, really appreciated that. Thank you!

Bed was very uncomfortable didnt sleep much tv wasnt level and all floors up stairs and halways creeked like crazy could hear everyone walking past room food wasnt great overcooked and undercooked ant to pricey for the amount of food

Property looks beautiful. However room was very dark, unable to see the coffee area without the use of a torch. Only 2bedside lamps and a tall lamp ( orange bulb) ! I thought it quite shabby. On the plus side the bad was comfy

It was lovely and quiet, the extras in the room were lovely only bad point was the noisy floor boards in the hall ways but everything else was exceptional.

The property was lovely rooms nice, and the aesthetic of the place were also nice, however in the dining area there were cobwebs in a few areas which I didn’t find nice when trying to eat, the rooms were lovely however super warm even with the window open, which caused a huge issue in the morning as before 8 the bins were emptied outside the room the smell wafted in along with the loud noise, and for some strange reason a leaf blower was also going off right outside the window before 8 am so I think if visiting for work and up early it’s great but if you want to relax I can’t say it’s a good place.

Ideally located for my needs and very helpful staff. Will definitely be using frequently when in the area.

Hartford Hall is lovely, the restaurant does high quality food and the drinks are good. We stayed in a family room which has a double bed and a sofa bed. In general the room was good, it had a good shower and was a decent price for the quality however there were a few little things that could be improved upon. Mainly that the sofa bed was awkward to sit on as the cushions kept on sliding off, the selection of refreshments in the room were not great, (they only had Nespresso coffee which had no information on which pods they had left us and there were no decaf options) and the hot tap in the bathroom sink was absolutely scolding hot which is not great for a family room. Cleanliness in general was good but we did had a dirty glass, a couple of stains on the duvet cover and I found a few small hair bobbles on the carpet. The radio was a nice touch and we enjoyed that as I could connect my phone to it. We enjoyed our stay but those little details let the place down.
