Great stay, staff lovely, rooms very good, food lovely and a wonderful New Years Eve great at affordable prices.

I booked this hotel, as it was closest to the venue we were visiting, but unfortunately, the room wasn't cleaned properly. I found a burger style wrapper under the desk area, a red bottle top between bed and side table and a broken arm off some sun glasses on the carpet close to the desk area. I left these on the side for the cleaner to see. There was only one coffee sachet, but reception were able to give me some extra sachets. One bed was comfy - it had a thicker mattress topper, the other bed not so comfy. Still had a lovely time and the hotel is central to the city centre and train station , so a great location.

Pleasant and friendly staff. Comfortable rooms and very clean. Excellent breakfast with plenty of choice. Excelyposition for exploring the Christmas markets.

Overall my stay was very good. The staff and service was excellent. However, my room was facing the main road, and although my room was on the second floor, due the drafts from the gaps in the windows, it also allowed the street noise from those less fortunate to echo into my room in the early hours of the morning. Also on my final night, after i had eaten, i tired to get back into my room only or the key card to fail. After returning to the reception to get a replacement card, i tried again to get into my room, but again failed. This time i called down to reception, where upon a very polite and friendly Irish gentleman came up and tried to use his master key.. still no luck. He then tried to unscrew the cover to the battery case underneath the lock, but this also failed. At this stage, he suggested i return to the bar where i was given a complimentary drink to wait until he gained entry for me. 45 minutes later i was told my door was, but because he sill couldn't fix it, he had left the door on the latch and i would have to lock it from the inside until he could get it fixed the following. I returned to my room only to find that it had been left ajar with all my personal belonging still in there. fortunately it was late and nothing had been taken, but it could have been a lot worse. Next time should this happen again, may i suggest, your staff call down to reception then waiting by the door until the guest returns to the room, to avoid any possible loss of property.

Lovely hotel , but breakfast stopped at 9-30 we arrived down at 9-35 so could not get any , this seems far to early for such a size hotel .

Have stayed here a few times and it is basic but clean and tidy and very convenient for the station. We ate dinner here last night and I would absolutely not recommend the food, it was borderline inedible. Breakfast on the other hand is always a solid offering. We will be back, but will dine elsewhere.

Convenient location, good quality hotel.

There was no hot water in the property, which meant I was unable to have a shower in the morning ahead of a job interview. Disappointed with the attitude of staff.

Had a great 2 night stay as watching a performance at cathedral great location for walking into city Plenty of restaurants bars shops in easy walking distance Room was spacious and clean Bed comfy Swimming pool small but adequate Changing area for pool could do with refurbishing as very wet all the time but that’s only slight negative

Good hotel and facilities, only issue was having to go outside to access the leisure facilities
