Holiday Inn PARIS - CDG AIRPORT, an IHG Hotel

I chose this hotel based on its glowing reviews, but unfortunately, it fell short of expectations. While there were a few positives, the negatives outweighed them, leaving me disappointed. The Positives The highlight of our stay was the check-in process, which was impressively fast and efficient. This allowed us to quickly get into Paris, visit Notre Dame, and enjoy dinner—a definite perk for travelers on a tight schedule. Additionally, the room offered plenty of outlets for our electronics, reliable hot water (something seasoned travelers know not to take for granted), and a reasonable cost. Where It Missed the Mark The issues, however, were numerous. The bed was overly worn and uncomfortable, the pillows were as hard as rocks, and the bathroom was poorly designed. The shower was particularly frustrating—it was nearly impossible to use without flooding the entire bathroom floor. The overall decor was minimalistic to the point of being cold and uninviting, reminiscent of a “Spartan” aesthetic.

Upon arrival at CDG I confused my destination hotel to be Holiday Inn Express. I guess I didn’t dig deep enough to recognize that I needed to find the hotel shuttle I usually make better prep but in this case I was tired at end of trip and a taxi ride fixed the problem in the end

Very nice hotel, close to CDG. They offer a shuttle to the airport...nice...BUT the driver only lets you off at terminal 2...if you need to depart from terminal 1, be prepared for an unexpected journey to get there. It's a long walk through terminal 2 to find your way to the shuttle train to take you to terminal 1. I booked this hotel because they advertised airport shuttle service, fully expecting to be taken to at least close to my departure terminal...not even close. If your flight leaves from terminal 1, just be aware that you will need to find your way there from T 2.

food in restaurant was good

The shuttle service from CDG airport was a nightmare. On hold for a half hour to make a reservation, only to have someone at front desk finally answer and say "call back in 10 minutes" and then hung up on me. Called for another 40+ minutes and finally spoke to someone who said the shuttle was on its way and would be there in 10 mins. Another 1/2hr of waiting and calling again. Then the shuttle shows up and the driver had no idea there were a total of 5 people to pick up. He got 2 in & tried to drive off but we stopped him. Beyond horrible service. Otherwise room was serviceable but grossly overpriced.

Very nice hotel with shuttle service to the airport- back and forth. Clean and modern room and bathroom as well as a very nice bed with cotton sheets.The mattress is good but the pillows are not comfortable. The restaurant is very convenient and offers a nice variety of meals. Take the caesar salad- it is amazing. Another highlight of this hotel is undoubtedly the buffet breakfast which is incredibly varied - proteins and carbs galore ! Good value for your money!

The hotel staff was friendly and very accommodating! It is a very clean and comfortable property; easy to navigate and very convenient to de Gaulle Airport! I highly recommend this location!

Great hotel for CDG access

The hotel is just a few minutes from CDG & their hotel shuttle brought me to my departure terminal with no hassles. I took a taxi from CDG to the hotel. It cost under 20 Euros. I thoroughly enjoyed the restaurant food, & even though the restaurant was closed the evening I stayed there, the restaurant menu was offered in the bar area. A perfect meal before a peaceful night’s sleep. The staff was very helpful & friendly, the room was clean & comfortable. The outdoor leisure area was quiet & relaxing.

The only thing negative was that it took a good hour for the hotel van to pick us up while many other hotel vans went by us 3 or 4 times. An airline pilot was waiting with us too and made several calls. Maybe they can get a second or larger van? The staff were fantastic and very friendly and helpful. The bed extremely comfortable and room was very clean I would stay here again.

Very pleasant

We stayed here after our flight before going to central Paris for a week's stay. This is a good location to tie into a flight out or into Paris. The high metal fence around the property gives the impression that you stay in the hotel and not walk around which was fine because we were only sleeping there one night. Hotel would have been better if they provided shuttle service to the terminals and back.

Beautiful brand new hotel. Great breakfast

All was fine except we were not told when we checked in that the hotel was having a party with a DJ that evening, and that the music would be cranked to eleven until 1 am. Our room faced the courtyard and it was impossible to sleep.

Last minute stay due to a canceled flight. Great hotel. The restaurant was surprisingly good for a late dinner and breakfast was very good too.
