Hotel Mercure Thionville Centre Porte du Luxembourg

They gave me a room the was directly on the highway at street level, very noisy. Also, AC in the room barely worked and did not dehumidifier, I was drenched!

It had a good breakfast and allowed pets for a small fee.

The reception staff were friendly and very helpful. They was also caring and polite.

Room was tired but ok - as was the rest of the hotel. Receptionist was unhelpful and vague. Went down for breakfast on the second day and there was not one clean table, all the food was gone, the coffee machine was not working. I could understand if this was right at the end of the breakfast service, but this was 7.30 in the morning.

Very friendly staff

I stayed for 5 nights. On my first night I had a COLD shower. Thought it might just be late in the day and tomorrow morning there will be hot water. The next morning same thing no hot water. Call up reception only to tell me that hot water works on a first come first served basis so who ever wakes up early will get water. just ridiculous. I moved rooms as they thought it was my shower. New room has warmer water but can't say it was hot. I didn't have to adjust the temperature. overall a disappointing stay. The staff were rude Alda in particular. Hardly spoke English and didn't even try to understand you. Walked away from me at one point as she was mid doing something. Found her especially rude. I will not be staying here again.

Everything was fine except there was no air conditioning. I do not mean not working well, it was broken and a sign at check in said there was no air conditioning in the whole hotel. This was at the end of August and it was hot. I was told to just open up a window which tilted open all of about 3 inches. The climate in the room was very warm and stuffy. I had to sleep on top of the covers. After staying there I looked at the reviews and this has been a long term issue. Yet they advertise on Expedia that they have air conditioning. I barley tolerated it with a provided fan, but had it not been so late in the evening I would have found another room somewhere else and demanded my money back From Expedia for breach of contract. It is inexcusable that I was not notified of this situation. This is my first booking with Expedia and unless they refund me it will be my last.

Unbelievable location on the edge of the Altstadt adjacent to the River and the Parks. Walking distance to some of the finest restaurants anywhere, I think I gained 5Lbs! Just great. We toured by car to some of the WWI Memorials and Graveyards nearby on the weekend of Memorial Day, remembering the American's contribution throughout the last century to the freedom of Europe and my Grandfather, who luckily returned home alive

Stopped on way back to UK - handy location, comfortable hotel

Very nice rooms, great location. WIFI is very expensive.

The room 308 is a disaster for this price! Ice cold and just a bed without any further place.

Hôtel bruyant

Notre séjour s'est très bien déroulé, accueil chaleureuxet très agréable, chambres confortables et lieux cosy aux bord de la moselle. Vraiment très satisfait!!

Je suis très déçue de mon séjour à l'hôtel. Je connaissais cet établissement pour y avoir déjà dormi. Sur mon dernier séjour il n'y avait pas d'eau chaude pour se laver. Quand je l'ai signalé lors de mon départ, la réceptionniste m'a dit qu'elle était au courant et qu'ils avaient le problème depuis la vielle. La moindre des choses aurait été de me prévenir à mon arrivée. Les 100€ payé ont du mal à passer !!!! Et pas de remise ou de geste pour un futur séjour.
