The hotel was wonderful. Because I booked through hotels.com/expedia, I was unexpectedly treated by the hotel. My room was upgraded, I was given a credit for 25 euros toward food, and I was offered late check out. It was a kind and appreciated gesture.
I did get a hot stone massage at the spa, which was lovely. I spent some time in the sauna, although I was suprised it was co-ed.
I also enjoyed an Afternoon Tea Service, which was delicisious. Lastly, a friend and I sat at the bar on Saturday night and were left alone by the staff to have a long conversation. It was nice to just sit and not feel rushed.

I learned the hotel was first built 1876, the first in Germany to have electricity for lighting and the first in Frankfurt to have a landline for long-distance calls. That's pretty unique! Staff is very responsive, courteous, and pleasant. Rooms were a nice size, all clean. Easy walkable access to many things. After we figured out the underground (it's massive), had access to a spot across town a bit.
