Wished we had read the directions for the hot tub before it had gotten too late for us. We were able to enjoy the northern lights from just outside the back door. This location would be perfect for a small group of families.

When travelling through on the ring road, just stay here. Rooms are nice, and the shared bathrooms well kept. Very nice kitchen, well stocked for breakfast! Rural setting with Icelandic horses nearby.

The rural location was great. Loved having the horses at the front door. The kitchen was well stocked. It was fun to get to know the other guests.

You are the best hostel or guest house that ever stay. Hot tube is very good, all of facility and food for breakfast is very good too. If you thinking that should i book this place or not. I can told you that, you should booked!!

We loved it here! Right off of the Ring Road. Host was very easy to communicate with. Beautiful scenery and horses everywhere. Super quiet and peaceful. Comfortable beds. Nice kitchen for cooking. Host left food for breakfast so there were plenty of snacks available. Washer but no dryer. Definitely visit Reykjafoss if you stay here which is a gorgeous waterfall with a natural hot spring tub (about 12 min from the property in Varmahlio).

Very modern, clean, spacious, and private. Hot tub was great and free breakfast was a nice bonus. The property was surrounded with beautiful scenery and horses. Responsive and friendly hosts! Fabulous guest house!

It was our favourite stay during the entire 10 day Icelandic family roadtrip! Super comfortable and the location is just stunning! We all enjoyed the hot tub and the owner generously stacked the fridge for breakfast. It truly felt like home away from home! The kids have already asked if we could go back and stay for longer! We all loved it!

Perhaps our favorite stay in Iceland. Well located, clean and appreciated the full kitchen. Recycling bins would be nice as well as a trash bin in the room.

This is a great little spot. What set it apart for us was the kindness of our host. My son forgot his boots in the shoe bench and our amazing host found them a ride to Reykjavik, so they were available to us before our flight home. Super, super grateful! The refrigerator stocked with wonderful items for breakfast (including eggs, yogurt, milk and dries cereals). The hot tub is nice, there is a great view of the mountains and horses from it. It was lovely to wake up to horses in the fields. We had a family room with a double and a bunk. Our restroom was shared with 2 other rooms in our suite. Towels were provided. Fabulous experience.
