Probably the radest hostel I've ever visited. Staff is just incredibly helpful and cheerful, atmosphere is very relaxed, design is super cool, food is really tasty, everything is very well organised and convenient... I'd definitely visit it again!
Nice hotel, cozy ambiance, overall cleanliness is the good, friendly staff, and the breakfast was good too. The minus was only the pool was under maintenance and also need another one bath matt inside the bathroom.
Selini on the Hill Villas is a very nice place to relax and enjoy the view of Labuan Bajo Bay. The villas are nicely decorated and spacious to stay in. It's a great place to come alone for a retreat or with a partner for a quaint honeymoon. I do have to say upfront. The place is not that hard to get to, but the slight uphill walk might be a bit hard. The path to get around the premise is narrow and at night is a bit dark to see, so make sure to turn on your phone's flashlight. Overall, I liked my stay and would like to come back with my partner to fully enjoy the place.
The only downside was my request for shuttle service. I confirmed my arrival and verbally asked for the shuttle service, they confirmed it but no one came to Fetch us at the airport.
Our room was more like a cage, we had the space of 2x2x1.5 m. There were five cages in the room with a shared bathroom (missing sink and variable water availability). We had to buy a padlock to leave our bags secure during the day. All other accommodation in town was booked out and it is very cheap so we were grateful for somewhere to sleep. The air-conditioning worked and it is a good location close to the waterfront.
The balcony rooms are a wonderful oasis with phenomenal views in the middle of what is otherwise a dusty construction site. There was a weird must smell in the room when we entered until we aired it out a bit, but it was all perfectly clean, just a bit old and dated. Don't expect luxury, but it is what it is.
