Superb! I have visited Rumah Kertajaya several times and everything always meets my expectation. The room is wonderful, clean and tidy. The staff are very helpful and friendly; the ambiance is cozy. Food is so delicious...It's an exceptional home stay with higher level of service and facilities compared to others.

I came to this hotel on the afternoon of 14 January 2025 from Surabaya Gubeng Station. I was greeted by two male hotel staff who explained some of the hotel's stuff: where to get my breakfast, laundry, and when the reception opens and closes. In the morning, a lady staff member served me breakfast from a nearby cafe (because the hotel does not have a stand-alone restaurant). The laundry was just the staff picking up your dirty clothes to a nearby express launderer for Rp 40,000, which you can take from the reception at 6 pm. Remember that this express launderer uses a clear plastic bag, so do not wash your undies there if you are uncomfortable.
The room is very Lindy because it has a tall ceiling (~5 metres high), which is good for creativity (I finished my Q1 journal article here in 4 hours!). The bidet is available, and the hot water shower is on (no hot water in the sink or bidet). Items of furniture are old and look like they have been used for a long time, and the air conditioner works, although its cover looks loosely attached. Free WIFI is available, although its firewall is a bit strange (i.e. it did not permit me to download specific journals or to open helioviewer.org, a completely safe website for solar monitoring). We did not have in-room snacks, coffee, or tea, only two 600 ml bottles of drinking water. The bedding is excellent, the pillows are comfortable, and I had my best two nights' sleep here.

The room directly faces the pool.
The place is clean, comfortable, quiet. feels like home. the food is a bit lacking. but this is quite okay, the guest house is willing to provide food.
those who stay here and intend to swim, make sure to provide a swimsuit because it is mandatory to wear, not allowed to wear cotton t-shirts.
just a suggestion, the lights in the upper hallway are quite dark at night, maybe they can be replaced with brighter ones. the rest is okay.

The room is cleaner than my previous stay. But, the one with direct access to the pool (previous stay) is more suitable for me. Overall it's okay. The kids loves the pool. Food can be improved

Friendly staff, for CS when checking in (the person himself maybe) a bit rude but maybe it's just his style, fast process, when we arrived we were a bit confused because it was our first time staying here, we entered through the blue door and immediately pushed it and there was CS there, there was a 100 thousand deposit which was returned when checking out, ID cards were immediately returned, sheets and others were not changed, only tidied up, room service officers were not thorough, many forgot this and that maybe because they were not hotel graduates but they were quite good, mineral water used glass bottles refilled at the dispenser, AC was noisy and took a long time to cool down, climbing stairs, small pool and a bit scared to use it because there were many warnings on the board, far from culinary places it is mandatory to use a vehicle, Safe and comfortable, breakfast there was watermelon, tea, coffee, bread and rice in boxes, choose 3 types of omelettes and others, not free to take food, embarrassed because they were waiting and in front of the officers, all good especially the guys who were a bit The fat person who was sweeping at night during the wedding event was very kind because he offered to borrow his SPD to buy food, but we felt sorry for him because it would take a long time, Grab Food was safe, there was a sink, refrigerator, microwave but we didn't have time to use it.

The location is close to ITS, quite far if you are going to the city center. The family room only provides a large bed and 1 small sofa bed, it cannot be used to sleep 3 adults. The AC is not cold enough. Old furniture. Maybe this used to be rented for exclusive boarding houses for ITS students. The towels are wrinkled, not clean white and the size is small, only covering the waist of an adult (women cannot use them). This is very different from many reviews that say the towels are clean white. The breakfast is ordinary, rationed.

Stayed there to take my son re-register at ITS. Location wise it's very good considering only walking distance to ITS campus. The staff was accommodating. The room was OK and clean, could be better and cleaner but overall OK.

Setelah sekian lama mau coba menginap di sini, akhirnya kesampaian juga, karena sering penuh terus 🤭. Saya pesan kamar dengan tipe family, tp ada sedikit kendala karena ac kamar ada tetesan air karena memang perlu di service bersihkan. Kami lapor ke pihak homestay, lalu ditawarkan untuk pindah kamar dengan upgrade ke kamar sweet tanpa tambahan biaya. Menyenangkan sekali pengalaman menginap di sini, serasa di rumah sendiri. Kalau ada perlu apa-apa, pelayanan cepat dan baik sekali. Kamar juga sangat bersih dan nyaman, handuknya yang paling saya apresiasi, bersiihh banget! Cuma sedikit saran, untuk menu sarapan pagi mungkin bisa sedikit ditingkatkan dengan menambah porsinya ya, agak kurang banyak. Overall kl ke Surabaya, ini tempat menginap yang saya recommen deh. Love it!
