The hotel is in a location with a stunning view, every moment of the trip made me realize that this was going to be a different experience. We were greeted with a big smile. The room was clean, cozy and inviting, with a balcony with a view that I never got tired of looking at. Rich breakfast in the dining room with smiling service. We didn't use all the facilities there, but it was an experience that definitely leaves a taste for returning again.

I used the spa in Altarocca Resort Wine in Rocca Ripesena. The location is special to say the least. Looking on the valley surrounded by wine yards and olives groove. It’s so peaceful and relaxing. The spa is very well organised with a track that includes pool and jacuzzi, sauna and steam room, ice cave, emotional shower. The relaxing room with water mattress and music is one of the best piece. The hanging bed looking over the open air pool and with the fireplace complete the atmosphere. I tried the scrub with olive oil treatment and the girls are so professional. They are very helpful and kind. I went with a friend and we ordered an aperitif that we had in the relaxing area. We totally loved it and can’t wait to go back again….. 90 minutes isn’t not enough.

We used the spa only as we were staying somewhere separate. We did the private spa and food experience. Wow. Totally worth it. Was such an amazing experience as part of our honeymoon. The staff were so welcoming before leaving us to use the spa. The food was so good!! Would highly recommend.

Great hotel with very good breakfast. If this was in Tuscany, you would be paying north of 500. I would skip the restaurant for dinner. Lunch is much better. I had a great pizza.

I was very excited to book this hotel for our 25th wedding anniversary, when we arrived we were delighted to be told that we had received an upgrade to a wellness suite but when we got to the room I was immediately disappointed. The room was huge but lacked any character, the furniture was brown, there is nothing on the walls to make the place seem welcoming or interesting in any way. We went back to reception and said we would prefer to have the prestige suite that we had originally booked but were told that all of the prestige rooms were occupied and the only rooms available were the wellness suites which are all furnished in the same way. The receptionist took us to see the other wellness suits but they were no better. She was friendly but she said we had no other choices of rooms and we could have some time to decide what we wanted to do. After my husband and I disused it we decided to cancel our booking and go home. When we went to reception to tell them we didn’t want to stay, she said a prestige suite had suddenly had a cancellation! She showed us the room and we were happy to see that it was exactly what I had originally booked. We enjoyed a tasting menu at the restaurant, the staff were very friendly and efficient and the food was delicious. The following morning we were expecting a very good breakfast after having such great food the night before but it was sadly a bit disappointing for a hotel of this price point. Lastly when we checked out we had been charged trice for our meal, an extra fee of €164, is not insignificant, luckily I spotted it just before we paid. I have never given a bad review before but unfortunately this stay at Altarocca left me feeling disappointed because it started and ended badly.
