Like most Jp hotel rooms, it's a small footprint, but really beautiful, design-forward update of a hotel, with a cool connection to the nextdoor temple (including options to see a service at 6:40am every day!) The incense in the lobby was my favorite thing-- and the location is incredible for Kyoto based hanging out.

Beautiful hotel in a great location. Just a short walk away from the Gion, restaurants and shops.
The hotel has a public bath I took advantage of every night to unwind and relax from a day of walking 20k steps.
