Great hotel experience from start to finish. We were welcomed by a friendly receptionist and we loved the art deco interiors of the hotel - so stylish and cool. We were happy with the room and were impressed with the amenities, as well as the closely located car park for $20NZD a night. The hotel is perfectly located in Napier and we hope we can visit again soon!

Got a superior room but it was tiny, great location. Everything walkable., We’re early risers and not much open until later. Hotel restaurant and bar were both good. Shower was tiny, you better not be a large person and there’s quite a drop off from shower to floor. Dangerous if you’re unsteady on your feet. Reception was very nice and helped get our luggage up the steep front steps. Parking is fairly close, easy walk, or if you luck out you can get after hours parking for free. Cape Kidnappers was an easy drive from there.

Lovely hotel in a great central location. Beautifully appointed. Only faults are the toilet would consistently run after flushing so need to give it a jiggle and the wifi was useless. Wouldn't connect and when it did... would drop out. The restaurant was lovely, good food and nice service.

Very pleased with this Hotel for its position right up to the seafront but on top of the many shops and eateries. Yes the parking needs better information to allow you to set down and unload before you park up. Time arrival right and it’s free overnight with. $7 full day’s parking 300m down the road. Breakfast is over the road in a delightful eatery and the bar serves good beers and wine.

I loved the historic style and look of this place. We got a nice studo room for a few nights and a wonderful patio to step out on in the evening. The staff were accomodating and friendly. Parking was kinda a pain, but they have a loading area to bring the car to unload and reload, but you have to either find your own parking or pay $20 per day for their parking a few blocks away. Glad it wasn't raining during our visit. The restaurants were great and the shopping is fun downtown!
