Clean room

This boutique hotel was such a charming spot! The property itself is beautiful, and the location is perfect if you want to walk around and explore Old San Juan. The check-in process was smooth, but unfortunately, the staff didn’t share much information. For example, I had no idea breakfast was available on the terrace—I only discovered it on the second-to-last day when I went up to sit in the sun. A staff member asked if I’d like to order, and I was surprised! On our last morning, we finally had breakfast and mimosas there, and it was fantastic. The staff was attentive, and the food was so good that I would have gladly eaten there every morning had I known earlier. The main downside was the room experience. Right after check-in, we went out for food, and when we returned, one of the decorative pillows was missing. When I asked the front desk about it, I was told no one had been in the room—which left me uneasy. The bed also had crumbs and later some sort of crusty residue on it, so we ended up buying a sheet set from Marshall’s to cover it ourselves. This made us feel a bit uncomfortable and almost had us leaving early. Our room (2A) also had no windows, which made it damp and musty. That said, I want to highlight some positives: the bartender was wonderful! He handled a group of cruise ship guests who came in a bit rude and had them laughing and relaxed in no time—such a great presence. And overall, aside from the room issues, the rest of the staff was welcoming and kind.

A charming hotel in the heart of Old San Juan. My room was spotlessly clean and featured an improbably large walk-in shower. The location could not be better; all historic sites and restaurants are within easy walking distance. But take some time to just sit in the lobby and enjoy being in Old San Juan.

We came here after our original booking elsewhere were unacceptable. The front desk was super respectful, efficient, and helpful. We were in a king suite and it was perfect for our short stay. My only complaint was the living area, with the sleeper sofa, was a bit warmer than the inside room but that was okay. We were on the second floor which is easily accessed by stairs or the elevator. There is a really pretty terrace upstairs with a "pool." This probably shouldnt be advertised as such but it still was nice to be up there to see the sights. All the main spots you want to visit while in PR are in short walking distance. Always felt safe during the day and at night time when going back to the room. Definitely have breakfast at La Carretta which is like one minute away - big line- get there early. Overall, I would definitely stay here again!

Enjoyed our stay. The staff were kind and helpful. Easy Uber ride from the airport and to the cruise terminal.

It was cute place to stay. I liked the pool upstairs in the hotel. It was clean and it had lot of restaurants and places nearby. However, be mindful of using toilet as they said not to flush toilet paper. However they clean room and toilet on daily basis. I would recommend staying here if you want to stay in center.

I liked the antique rustic design. Staff was friendly and extremely helpful. I least liked the area. Parking was a serious challenge. There no hand soap in the restroom.

I payed for the 2nd teer of cheaper rooms because the grade was 9.4. I got a corner room that was next to the bar, and to a table in the reception. I was awaken at midnight due to guests coming back to the hotel, and speaking loudly. Because the windows are originals from the spaniards, we could hear everything. There was a bit of mold on the ceiling of the bathroom, and there was water in the bathroom after heavy rains. Shower was great, and newly renewed. No toilet paper when we got there, so my wife went out to reception to get it. Beds were comfortable. The TV was hard to operate. Too expensive for the confort we got.

Very peaceful and the staff young and nice love it very kind too.
