City Hotel Glarnerland

Great hotel, rooms were immaculate; clean really well furnished new, fabulous showers, comfortable beds, really good coffee machine in rooms, and great breakfast. Things to note: Checking was easy at a self checkin machine we only saw one member of staff at breakfast. This was not a problem for us. You are right next to a train line, bring ear plugs as there is no air-con so you will want the windows open in the summer and the freight trains at night are LOUD! Ear plugs fix this though. We had adjoining rooms as a family of 4, this is a great option as the room are spacious, there is a kitchenette however it is not equipped (apart from coffee machine kettle mugs coffee pods and tea bags) so if you plan of cooking you will need to bring pots, pans, utensils etc. just something to be aware of. We would definitely stay again.

Did not like the self check in. Retrain track just 100 yards in front of the the hotel.

The chef Kurt not only prepared outstanding meals but he went out of his way to make us feel welcome. He also provided us with useful local information that proved very helpful. Nadine also made us feel right at home from the night we arrived to the morning we departed. We felt we were leaving two friends behind. We did not like the check in! A hotel that is so excellent in every other way should have a live person to greet guests.

I stood there because they had free parking. I also was promised air conditioning, which was not there.

Very clean and well presented hotel. I booked my parents into this hotel whilst I’m working in Näfels, Switzerland and they thought highly of the hotel and the room was spotlessly presented. Thank you to the staff who also spoke good English who assisted them during breakfast. I have since booked this hotel for January for another visit. Danke.

Für Selfcheckin und Lage eine wenig zu teuer. Aber sonst alles super. Sehr sauber und gut eingerichtet.

Unser Aufenthalt war Bestens, check-In lief super, sehr sauberes und schönes Zimmer. Einzig die Handtücher rochen für mich unangenehm. Würde es empfehlen.

Alles war hervorragend, einfacher Check-In und -Out, umfangreiches und sehr leckeres Frühstücks-Buffet, sauber, nettes Personal, top ausgestattete Zimmer leider ohne Klimaanlage! Da es sehr heiss war, mussten wir die Balkontüre offen lassen, dann hörte (störte) man die Eisenbahn…

Cooles, aber auch spezielles Konzept mit dem self check-in, es scheint verlassen, aber es stört nicht! Sehr gutes Restaurant, ausgezeichnetes Zimmer! Nachteil; Die Verbindungstür zum Nachbarzimmer ist schlecht Schallisoliert!

Für eine spontane Übernachtung war das perfekt, gut gelegen, tolles Frühstückbuffet, einfacher/elektronischer Check-in/Check-out - alles bestens.

Ein sehr sauberes Hotel mit allem was man benötigt. Die Betten sind etwas härter.
