One of the few hotels I could find with a 24-hour reception desk. We took a very late train into town, and the hotel we originally booked had no way of accommodating us if we arrived after 10:00 pm.

Even though I don’t think it was intentional our check-in was a bit off putting. The air conditioning or fan didn’t work, quite stuffy so we had to leave windows open all night. Only one low pillow, found this uncomfortable even though bed comfortable. Carpets quite stained. Breakfast was 27CHF ($46 AUD each) felt this was very expensive. Pleased there was plenty of free parking. Easy walk into town centre.

Reception asked if we wanted advice on where to eat, we declined but we only found one restaurant open as most places are closed on Mondays.
Mercure has a bar but was closed.

The next morning we were asked if we enjoyed are stay and said yes but room was very hot. We were then told air-con will not be installed until end of 2023. Not impressed.

Hotel was going under renovation when visited and it was a bit messy. Rooms were just OK but didn't feel comfortable. Breakfast was basic. But for this price you expect far far far more. Wouldn't stay again. Not the quality you pay for.

Quiet, comfortable, well maintained hotel in a nice neighborhood, with interesting walkable destinations and only ten minutes from the old town. Fribourg is beautiful and a good example of how Swiss towns can provide you with an exceptional experience of architecture, history, and nature.

The location was excellent, with a very friendly atmosphere, the only downside was that it was a very hot night and there was simply a fan which struggled to cool the room sufficiently. I would recommend to stay without a doubt.

Comfortable room. Our room had a great view of the Remparts. 15 or 20 minute walk uphill to find a restaurant. The front desk was very helpful.

It is a very nice hotel with boutique character in spite of actually bei g a ski resort. My only complaint is that they do not have air condition. When we arrived at 19:00, the room was at 30 degrees C and after having the wi diese wide open all night it dropped only to 27 C.
During three seasons, this is not going to be problem but if they want to keep hosting g summer guests then they will have to invest in A/C.
Staff were friendly and the room was excellent.
