This hotel is quiet and gorgeous. I stayed two nights and didn’t leave the property due to personal circumstances but it is close enough to Fisherman’s village to get some local flavor. Or really hospitable to walking around and exploring without a taxi to somewhere. Two nights is probably enough to experience this and then move on to another part of the island for variety.

I booked for 10 nights but only stayed for 5 due to an incident and the hotel was good enough to organise a refund for the balance of the nights not stayed which was appreciated. I highly recommend staying beachfront in villa 1 as the sunrise over the ocean is incredible.

We chose to stay here as we have been to the restaurant many times before it was renovated and the food was always superb. However, I’m afraid that is not the case anymore. The food was mediocre and nothing to rave about. The bar guys didn’t know how to make cocktails even though they were on the menu. I asked for a Bloody Mary and after 5 minutes of faffing around and trying to work out to make it, I cancelled it and ordered a coke.
The floor the the restaurant is filthy and we had 6 breakfasts here and the same food was still on the floor and dirt marks for all of the 6 days.
Room was beautiful and very clean and very happy with the room.
Doubt I will return.
Also in their brochure it says the hotel is aimed at influencers and I don’t want to be surrounded by people keep taking photos and only buying an orange juice.

Lovely hotel near to all of the restaurants and shops of Fisherman’s Village. Beach area is massive with many sun loungers and free use of kayaks and paddle boards. Pool area is lovely but the pool itself is quite small. Food from the restaurant was delicious as was the breakfast which is an additional 400 baht with a selection of buffet and a la carte. Would definitely return.

Zazen had a great post lockdown offer on so we got a bargain room rate. It was nice enough. Kayak we took out had a big hole in it which led to a slightly hairy situation but they seemed to deal with it when we told them about it. Restaurant setting is lovely.

A beautiful hotel with lovely rooms and a huge beach front area with lots of sun loungers and use of kayaks for free. The pool area is also lovely, though the pool is quite small. Still a wonderful place to spend the day. Food from the restaurant was delicious, breakfast included a range of dishes to order as well as buffet cereal, fruit, pastries, juice and yoghurt. It’s about a 20 minute stroll either along the beach or on the road to Fisherman’s Village. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is very nice and right on the beach. Makes for a good sunrise, but you should be on the other side of the island for a sunset. The staff were very attentive and the service was fantastic. We had a small issue with mosquitos on the first night when we got in late. once we mentioned to the staff, they quickly erected a mosquito net which made the room look that little bit nicer as well. no complaints. i can see why it has such a high rating.The in house yoga instructor was fantastic.

The restaurant dinner menu and food was amazing! The female waitresses were pleasant but found the bartenders and beach boys not friendly at all. Almost like you were putting them out by asking them for a drink or food. The spa is amazing but the person I travelling with was treated poorly by one of the therapist. Because she is a bigger lady and they didn’t have spa clothes for her size the therapist basically told her she was too big. And was ignorant when she asked for something else to change into as she thought the Thai massage had comfy clothes provided and didn’t bring anything to change into. The therapist was rude and provided her with disposable panties and told her to change in the shower and didn’t even give her any privacy. This person shouldn’t be in the service industry!

My husband and i took a beach front room in Zazwn to celebrate our honeymoon. We loved it!! The place is beautiful and obly has about 25 rooms so it was vert intimate and we felt almost alone. The beach was right outside our room amd we enjoined the canoe and paddling board that were there for our use. The staff was very friendly amd helpful and very soon we felt at home. The hotel is a close drive to the fishermans village which is nice and has a big weekend market. The only thing i could say that wasn't perfect is that the room design is a bit outdated, but still, very comfy. Important to say thay we were looking for a very relaxed, calm vacation, and the zazen was great for that. Of you are looking for action in the evening you will have to go out. We only regret we haven't stayed for longer.
