I was pleasantly surprised. The price was great for this area, the room was bigger than I expected, the bed was very comfortable. The front desk worked well with us… Ensuring that we had all of our handicap needs met… Wheelchair access, bathtub, wide door to get in and out. It being a kitchenette, and how nice it was, and the size of the refrigerator, pots pans silverware even dish soap, was impressive. I will definitely stay at Alaska’s select Inn, in Wasilla, the next time I am in the area. 😊

Very nice very clean rooms.

The building has no sign when we pull in the parking lot. The lady checked in for us sounds annoyed. The room is clean but tight space. Pillows are very old. The beds are under the window with no headboard. I don’t see any other customers but get a room next to the freeway under the building signage facing freeway. Very noisy and the signage light kept coming in through the curtain. Bathroom is old with long overdue maintenance. Kitchenette is nice feature with very limited utensil like 1 spoon and 2 forks. Room is too hot at night but drafty in the morning. No temperature control

Convenient quiet lodging in Palmer/Wasilla area. Kitchenette makes it super user friendly if you are working and meal times vary.

The room we got had a little bedroom and it has a kitchen with a mini stove so your not stuck with microwave meals or eating out, you can actually cook a dinner for you and yours.could easily spend weeks there with little issue

Was very nice having a full kitchen in the room. Also a very spacious room.

We stayed for a quick sports trip, so the kitchenette was helpful and it was nice having enough sleeping room for the whole family.

Nice place to stay in the Wasilla area for a day trip to Denali NP since most closer locations were closed for the season.

Excellent location for VA appointments

It looks like an older building, so is showing wear and tear. It was convenient and quiet. Good for the price.

Manager seemed annoyed i was there. No check on counter. Business is conducted out of a repurposed room. No interior insulation. Listened to people above me have conversations throughout the night. There is no way to control the temperature in the room. It was so hot i had to sleep with the window open but was certainly wasnt a secure situation.

The staff was very kind but the facility is poorly kept.

The signage was so poor that from the parking lot we could not tell if we were in the right place. There was some street noise and a sign told us we would be charged if we didn’t wash our dishes.. burners and oven plus the usual kitchenette facilities though no dishwasher and I rewashed everything before using it since I had no idea how well the previous occupants had washed each item. No elevator so carrying luggage upstairs was a bit of a hassle. Location was convenient for a stop between Seward and Denali National Park

I don't like leaving negative reviews but since I expect reliable reviews when booking lodging I feel obligated to be truthful. We saw no signage when pulling into parking lot so we weren't sure we were in the right place. I later saw a sign on the opposite side of the building that faces the highway. We walked in one entrance looking for a desk and out the other entrance, overlooking a sign on the office door. A young man in the parking lot opposite where we parked asked if we needed help. He turned out to be running the place. He was polite and friendly when checking us in. The room appeared clean and was free of odors. I opened a closet door to hang up our coats to find a spider climbing the wall. Later in the bathroom I killed another spider and an unrecognizable bug. When returning from dinner the entrance door was propped open with a rock. I guess that's why there were spiders. So before retiring I pulled back the bed linens to thoroughly examine. Bed was ok but not very comfortable. The room was like a small studio apartment with two beds and two chairs at the counter. It was an awkward arrangement. We did not sleep well and were eager to leave when our alarm went off in the morning.

This property is dilapidated and is overdue a refurbishment by 20 years. There were red stains on the curtains.

Clean and tidy and a good nights sleep

this property sits about 15 feet from the highway with busy traffic all night long. The bathroom was horrible, the shower handle had to be held in to turn on and off along with getting the temperature correct. Each time you flushed the toilet you had to take lid off and release the handle to stop the water from running. There was no stopper in the sink. In the kitchenette, you couldn't use the stove if you wanted to, the burners were tilted. Glad this was only a stop for one night.
