I stayed at this hotel with my husband and we loved it. The beach is right outside the hotel. Everything is walking distance endless food options. If you are looking for a slower pace and quieter environment this is not a good option. It’s right in the city and very touristy. Bit the convenience is the best

When we arrived, we were eligible to upgrade as we are gold members and was told our room is ocean view facing ocean and diamond head, but when we went into the room, it was not. When we returned to the front desk with the issue, the representative ignored us and pretended she didn’t even see us. We wasted about 2 hours figuring out this room but luckily a manager was able to accommodate us after the long wait with a side ocean view, which we appreciated. What we were really disappointed about was the hotel conditions, the lobby was beautiful but the rooms were horrible. The room was clean, but the moisture was ridiculous. Everything in the room was wet, our clothes never dried, the sheets were moist and the most nastiest thing was the mold on the bathroom ceiling. We realized more mold was growing on top of the covered mold that was painted over. There was no ventilation at all and we had to turn on the AC just to try to clear out some moisture in the air to breathe. It was freezing. My allergies were intense because the mold in the room was pretty bad. We wanted to try this hotel out because we have been to Waikiki multiple times and the lobby was beautiful. But we would like it if the rooms matched the esthetics of the lobby. Will I return? Absolutely not to stay, but to dine at the adjacent restaurants Momosan and Marimoto. We travel a lot and this stay was pretty disappointing. This experience, makes it clear that it may be best to stick to the brand name hotels.

The room types are bait and switch. We were supposed to be in an ocean view room (at a higher price), but the only view of the ocean (vs. other buildings) is from the lanai. No actual ocean views were avail, but were told that in 2 days we'd get a beautiful ocean view room. Well 2 days passed, had to wait again until 3pm checkin to get our room - and another partial view (great view of all the other buildings around, literally that is all). AGAIN were moved, now to an ocean view that was fine - AC wasn't working. We were told we'd be comp'd 2 nights but NOPE, a week later and that hasn't happened.
Also have to ask for rooms to be cleaned as others noted, generally a very 2 or 3 star hotel experience for an illeged 5 star hotel.

Location good, every staff we met were very accommodating and pleasant! Amazing training! We only had 2 days that housekeeping not great, but other 7 great. Only ate in pool area, marginal there. Overall quite satisfied.

As good as it gets! The staff was absolutely wonderful! The location is perfect. You can walk out of the hotel property and out to the best beach on Waikiki. Close to all of the best food and fun. The design of the hotel is beautiful and relaxing. Met the nicest people up a the pool and the DJ up there at night is awesome!

Amazing Stay again at Alohilani.
We always stay here when were in Oahu and it did not disappoint.
If we have any complaints it would be:
-no couch in our room
-rooms are not rated 5 stars, 4 stars the most
-toilet was very low and small
But we would stay here again because of the ff:
-amazing service
-everyone we spoke to were super nice and welcoming
-car rental/valet on site
-amazing gym
-offers yoga classes daily
-daily housekeeping
-location right on waikiki
-busy hotel but not overcrowded
