Colts Neck Inn Hotel

Colt’s neck inn is a very comfortable hotel. This was my second time coming back and will continue to come back when I need to visit family and friends.

Staff was awesome. Property came with lots free perks, small but free, that most hotel chains would charge for. Examples would be bike rental, wood fire starter log etc. the place loves pets too. Definitely going to be my go to place

This place is very cozy and warm. I Love It!!

Very clean and quaint, however the lighting in the room and bathroom is not great at all and pillows were lumpy

The Colts Neck Inn is cute and charming. We have stayed before and will likely stay again in the future because for us, the location + pricing makes it the best option. It’s clean and they offer breakfast plus coffee in the lobby. But the one negative is that the beds are REALLY uncomfortable. None of us slept well, including my 6 and 8 year olds who basically never complain about a bed. While we will consider the hotel as an option in the future, my husband and I both agree that we could only stay if it is for one night - any more and we don’t think our backs could handle it. Overall this hotel has a lot of great benefits to it but I think it helps to be aware of the comfort of the beds for anyone who might have issues. Hopefully it something that will be upgraded by the hotel in the future.

This property looks beautiful when you walk in but looks can be deceiving. We were there for 3 nights over the holiday. To begin there were stray cats roaming outside the front door and it smelled like they were using the entrance way as their litter box. The staff made a quick mention of our room being where they were working on installing a new floor. The following morning when I had to put in some hours of work they were actively doing construction right outside my door. Why would you put us in that room!? Also our bathroom was in need of reservations including a toilet that felt like you were sitting on the floor and required consistency attention and diligence to flush. For the rest of our stay it seemed like the staff were more interested in each others issues then us as guests. We were quite disappointed in our stay.

What a great find! Absolutely charming antique filled boutique hotel. Take the time to walk around and admire the antique pieces. Our room was sparkling clean, toiletries made available and staff was very kind and welcoming. The holiday decorations give the hôtel extra charm. Self serve breakfast available including any breads, bagels, fruit, juice, coffee etc. Highly recommend and would return without hesitation.

We stayed at the Colts Neck Inn Hotel twice, so far, and the place is wonderful. It is quiet and the staff is super friendly and welcoming. For us, the hotel is close to all the places we would like to visit. They also allow pets and there is no restrictions on size of pets. We have a 40 pound and an 85 pound dog. A lot of places will only allow smaller dogs to stay at hotels which is discouraging. We will be definitely staying there again when we come to visit New Jersey.

I enjoy a quiet getaway spot every few months. Never an issue staying there. However, I wonder how often there is a deep clean of the bathrooms. The tub is room 105 doesn't drain well...and there was hair, not mine, on top of the drain.

Very comfortable and convenient

Bathroom water smelled like rotten eggs. We stayed on first floor and heard the upstairs people running around. The hair dryer wasn't working. All in all not a great experience. We told the front desk about these issues. She didn't seem surprised. Would not recommend staying here.

Straight forward simple inn. Friendly reception. Homey feel.

I have stayed here several times due to the convenient proximately for work.. It is a very well maintained older Inn. This was my first time traveling with my two dogs which gave me a different impression. I saw quite a few dogs; so, this is definitely a target market. Thought I'd update my review. Pluses: Superior lighting in outdoor areas. Gold Star for dog owners! The entire perimeter of the building is illuminated & there are doggy bags placed in several locations if you run short. I pack a headlamp & never needed it. Minuses: - Walls between floors are thin. My dogs were kept "on alert" constantly due to the footsteps of the person on the floor above. I did request a 1st floor room. Won't do that next time! - I believe the concrete planter blocking one of the two front doors is a serious fire & handicapped hazard. Oh & staff barely acknowledged my existence. Lots of room for improvement there... But I will absolutely stay here again. Just offering some suggestions for improvement! This is just a local treasure in need of some honest feedback.
