Fairbanks Extended Stay

I really loved the jacuzzi tub.

Very dog friendly! They gave us a little treat bag for our dogs. We liked the quiet area it was in. We woll stay again next time!

The property is using the term "extended stay" which makes you believe you are actually reserving at a chain hotel. It's actually a Bed and Breakfast that has multiple buildings. My wife is handicap and we were booked in an upstairs room. Then the owner offered a ground floor room in a "new" building until she found out we had a dog. Then she moved us to the old building which was an old poorly maintained building located on another street. I went back to main building to talk to the owner. She then covered us a Suite with four steps. It was in better condition, but still somewhat outdated. The jetted tub only had two of six jets working. The floors seemed very uneven in some places. It did have a nice gas fireplace though. It would been nice if this listing actually told you were staying at 7 Gables instead of extended stay. Very misleading!!

For an older hotel it was very clean and comfortable. Staff was amazing. The hostess was fantastic and awesome to deal with. Love the bubbly personality.

Extended Stay Fairbanks, and Fairbanks Extended Stay are completely different companies. It took two taxi rides and a shuttle just to get to a room that I had never seen when booking online. Not unlike other reviewers, I booked through Expedia and felt hoodwinked when the front desk at Extended Stay America said they did not have my reservation. They explained that it was a common mistake due to false advertising by the other company. They kindly ran out to stop the taxi that brought me so I had a ride to some place called Seven Gables, Ten Gables (something with Gables in the name). The driver took me to a residence with a dirt parking lot. I let myself in but left my luggage outside. I was called upstairs by a very nice lady that knew all about my reservation. I stood in her kitchen while she attended another guest. That building did have guest rooms, but not my room. My room was a few miles away in another building. There were no other taxis, so the nice lady took me to the other property in her personal car. There was one restaurant and one gas station within a mile. Beyond that I had to find an Uber. Only two fast food joints and the local grocery store delivered through Uber. The bed in my room was very flat, old, and slid all over the bed frame. The iron had burn marks on it and the ironing board had an old cover with no pad. Both useless. The toilet has permanent yellowing and was probably cleaner that it looked. The recliner was very comfortable.

Did not stay, there was trash piled up at the front door, not a good first impression, there was a sign on the door to check in at a different location, outside property extremely unkempt and run down, very dirty, extreme cigarette smell permeated building, extended stay gave strong impression of not being safe for anyone.

Pls improve your service condition, room clean better.

Property is being renovated

This property outside is unsafe feeling as there seemed to be unregistered guests, people sitting in cars late into the night. Was just unappealing and dirty

First of all this place was hard to find because it has changed names so your GPS gets confused and will probably take you to the wrong hotel. We were told they changed because they were getting such bad reviews under the Fairbanks Extended Stay name that they changed it to 7 Gables. You check in at one building but then drive around the block to get to your building. The elevator wasn’t working so it’s tough if you have a lot of luggage to carry. Surprisingly, our room had a great kitchen and bathroom ( which you would never tell by looking at the outside!)

The hotel was advertised as an extended stay and had a picture online. However, the actual hotel was located down the road from the advertised address, and when searched online, the listed address appears to be a hostel. The place was old, run-down, and dirty. For $240 a night, it was a complete joke. NEVER AGAIN. I would have left without checking in if it hadn’t been so late when I arrived.

Property worked for my needs i was looking for a place to sleep before my moose hunt host worked with me to get me 2 beds as needed and all was well. Thanks for the help

In much need of maintenance. Lots of patches can be seen ,old ones, but no sign of actual repairs and finishing.We were sent to the Units at 700 Loftus road. I refused the first unit due to small window for light and air. Second unit had lots of light, armchair sank to the floor, bathroom door squeezed awful, we fixed it, dining table still had toast crumbs and thick dust. We cleaned Ther is definitely a shortage of staff inFairbanks, but what’s the excuse of failed maintenance? If the owners have more property than they can manage perhaps they should sell. Breakfast was offered and was good,however her kitchen was overly cluttered which makes one wonder about the sanitation practices. The ground in Alaska is crumbles rock and dirt, consequently, it is constantly tracked in. However, there doesn’t appear to be any system in place to keep it under control. Fairbanks was great, lots to see and do, but was disappointed in accommodation

No counter space in the bathroom, and inadequate towel racks. Awkward location for TV, light on nightstand did not work properly. Very nice staff, excellent breakfast.

Don’t confuse this place with Extended Stay America! Not the friendliest man running the place. We were placed in an offsite location, a couple miles away. Not the cleanest place and the WiFi is unacceptable. Taxis were completely unavailable and not much within a mile. Find another location.

Everything was good. Hotel was charming had a cottage feel very quiet and peaceful

Very nice quit place to relax. Ower was very helpful and very nice. We will be staying here again

The owners were nice people, very accommodating. The breakfasts were great. The buildings were dated, but comfortable. We enjoyed our room and our stay.

Highly recommend this amazing cozy stay! The staff works intimately with its patrons- as if you’re a family member. The rooms are like mini apartments with great WiFi while feeling like you’re in the woods. Great complimentary breakfast too. Loved my stay here, which included my family.
