GREAT HOTEL

My wife and I have named this place the rust bucket. The room was dirty and smelt like Mold. I can't believe the lamps in the room were rusty.

Spent one night as our flight landed later in the evening, and we wanted to hit up Costco the next morning before driving to our VRBO. Not enough parking as we had to park in lower lot and haul our luggage up the hill to the lobby around midnight so not a great start to our stay. Front desk staff were reasonably friendly so that was alright. Room comfortable but very dusty though! I was sneezing like a machine gun as I’m very allergic to dust! Hallway carpets were very dirty and need of some serious shampooing and vacuuming! Overall not a terrible place to stay but just seemed very tired and unkept.

Great property and wonderful hostess. Very responsive and friendly. This property is right on the beach, which is wonderful for hearing the waves and enjoying the sunset. I would not recommend this property though for folks that like to sleep in. It’s pretty noisy as others have mentioned because it is next-door to the rental shop which opens at 8 AM. The master bedroom is a foam mattress. The couch bed was pretty uncomfortable as most of them are. Worked OK for our 10 year old, but wouldn’t be appropriate for anyone older. Very great neighborhood and location. Pretty terrible parking though. Not enough spots for as many condos as there are. Great pool, but it is a bit of a walk from this unit. There is parking by the pool, however. Amazing beach!

They charge $25 per day to park in an outdoor lot that doesn't have enough spots to accommodate all guest vehicles. $25 per day resort fee required. Water pressure low. HVAC unit blows on heads while sleeping. When I informed the front desk of these issues when checking out they said only "Have a nice day".

This property needs a major overhaul. Doors not automatically closing, electronic key only sporadically working. Air conditioner blowing right in your face all night. Outside chairs on patio filthy and stained. Hot tub murky with light hanging outside the hot tub, still attached to electric cable (unsafe). Mosquitos and gnats in the room. Terrible hotel. Would never stay there again

The staff was incredible. The entertainment and dining options they offered were also great.

Environment , employee’s behavior all together make this Hotel nice and comfortable for everyone.

Lovely grounds and pool. The pool could be warmer, maybe heated. Staff is very friendly. I had to ask for room service on the past two days as room was not made up till late afternoon. Breakfast menu is delicious but evening at tiki was great. The burger was much too spicy and I threw it out. Staff member said sorry but did not offer to remake it

We had a 2 bedroom room with a walkout patio to the pool! Perfect for our boys and a great view of the sunrise.

Service was excellent. Breakfast was great. Fabulous location with the beach right there. Close to shopping. Deli market clise by. Kurt was so nice. We loved it.

The property is at a great location close to the city and a beautiful beach within walking distance.

The bed was noticeably old, and it was quite uncomfortable. I could hear and feel the springs with every movement, and my back felt the impact of the springs each morning. If you are hoping for a comfortable night of sleep, you should book elsewhere. I booked through Expedia a room for my two daughters and me. I paid extra for breakfast. My reservation clearly states I made accommodations for myself and two children (Expedia considers children to be children if they are ages 0-17). My reservation also lists "Free Breakfast" as an amenity ("free" because I paid for it through Expedia) for the one adult and two children booked for the room. The staff at Expedia informed me I could only have breakfast for two people. When I showed them booking confirmation from Expedia, their response was that I should talk to Expedia. There was no effort from the staff or from the manager to provide any assistance in the matter. They indicated that they only consider children to be children from ages 0-5. It is understandable that they have a different policy than Expedia, but it was very disappointing that even though they saw my booking confirmation from Expedia indicating "free" breakfast for myself and my two children, they made no additional effort. I cannot recommend a hotel to anyone when I do not have confidence that the staff and manager are invested in my satisfaction and if the bed is uncomfortable. Wailua Bay is a wonderful area Just book at a different hotel in the area.
