Holiday Inn Club Vacations WILLIAMSBURG RESORT, an IHG Hotel

I visited this resort during the off-season for a four-day birthday getaway, and I absolutely loved my experience. The price was excellent—likely due to the time of year—and despite renovations, the area where I stayed was beautiful and very comfortable. Everything about the resort felt convenient, especially the location, which made getting around a breeze. If I had to mention one downside, it would be that the TVs weren’t smart TVs, so I couldn’t connect to Wi-Fi or access my streaming services. However, this was a minor issue compared to how wonderful the overall experience was. I would definitely return in the future!

Great place for a family holiday.

Great value for the money.

The hotel was fine, we were in town for a wedding. Two things to flag: (1) there are significant mandatory “resort fees” tagged onto your stay that they charge you on a per day basis that is not factored into the booking cost to cover “wifi” and “facility access.” (2) The staff was incredibly insistent on scheduling a 90 minute presentation for us to become resort members. We had no interest in this as we were only in town for the wedding but they called us before our stay and called our room multiple times during the stay to try to schedule a session. They were quite aggressive even after we made it clear we weren’t interested. Checkout is also 10am and they charge for late checkout. Not an issue for us but we were surprised to see it. Additionally there was an expectation that you take your own trash out at the end of the stay and run the dishwasher. There was no daily room cleaning service.

They tried to sell us a time share when we arrived which was annoying. The room was spacious but the beds were not comfortable at all.

This is a beautiful property. Very much has a resort feel to it. The restaurant down the way is not expensive and well priced for a hotel.

Everything was wonderful! The amenities were amazingas well as the staff! The room was perfect!

Home away from Home

I was pleasantly surprised at what I got for $160/night—a very spacious two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment with large kitchen, dining room, living room, patio, fireplace, three TVs and washer/dryer. It was very clean and everything was in good condition. Having had a bad experience years ago with a hard-sell tactic at a Florida time-share, I was a little leery when reserving because of some reviewers’ comments about a time-share pitch. However, all I got was a brief invitation at check-in (with a $200 cash offer) to attend a meeting at either of two times before I left. The salesperson was pleasant and took no offense when I declined. This resort has a bowling alley, mini-golf, basketball court and swimming pool, none of which I used but appeared to be in good condition. My only complaint is that the walls and floors transmit sound. I could easily hear people talking in the unit next door and walking and rolling luggage in the unit overhead.

We found this resort late in the evening at the last minute after we ere bumped from the Wyndham because they overbooked. We arrived devastated that other family members weren’t bumped from a resort we booked months in advance. We were pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness and friendly employees. I will suggest this resort to my family for future vacations.

I love that the villa have a full kitchen and very clean it also had a washer and dryer which came in handy

Room was in great condition very spacious like a mini apartment. Front desk was very helpful and informative. The resort overall was beautiful and my son enjoyed his birthday weekend there ! I will be returning again

Check in took more than 20 minutes in line . Not enough staff for guests. Check in not convenient, check in then go stand in another line to get keys. Women give keys out was rude and snarky. Not a great first impression of hotel. However the room was very nice and clean.

We plan to stay with this location again in the future. The building was nice, clean and quiet. Our kids loved the amenities.

The property is so beautiful…. Me and my husband has vacationed here several times. But never stayed in a Villa which I prefer…Our stay there was so wonderful. We will return. And if I can request another stay there I would like another Villa on our vacation. Now what I was a little upset about was the people over top of us with a lot of walking and running back and forth. When we were trying to rest. So that was a little disappointing.
