Holiday Inn Express CANANDAIGUA - FINGER LAKES, an IHG Hotel

I went to go see family! Amazing staff. Super helpful especially having a service animal. Made sure the room was closer to the side door for me to allow my dog to use the rest room. Very nice and answered any questions I had! Will be staying soon again!

Staff is friendly. Overall great place to stay.

Our room smelled terrible like smoke, and our bed was broke at the bottom end.

Very friendly staff. Clean and quiet. Breakfast options were very nice and diverse.

Checking in was simple and well handled. Staff was knowledgeable and courteous. Danielle was very accommodating and answered all of our questions. We had not been in a hotel since 2012 and were not sure how things are done now. We were very happy with the whole experience.

Wonderful service, clean room and comfortable beds! The breakfast was a huge plus… better than most continental breakfasts!!!!

Front desk guy had me waiting for about 10mins when no one else was in the lobby. I also called a week ago to make sure the pool was open (that's why we booked) and of course it was closed when we got here today even tho the guy said last week it would be open. One of our lights didn't work in our room... Just a little frustrating after spending over $100 for one night

Good for one night stay. There were only supplies in the room for one. They were doing some work and hoses and extension cords were a bad trip hazard in the main hallways

Extremely noisey! Complained to desk about thumping in the room above us. It lasted for 2 hours and began again at the crack of dawn? Either the floors are too thin to stop the sound, or other guests were letting kids run wild? Worst hotel stay in years!!!

We arrived to our room, my daughter used the bathroom while I started to change -we were leaving to attend a show my college student was in that evening and wanted to quickly freshen up beforehand. My daughter found there was no handle on the toilet, only a hole where one should’ve been. I had to manually flush it by reaching into the tank. Called front desk, packed everything up, put it on the cart, and waited. Finally received a knock at the door with keys to a new room. Upon walking into the new room, we were met with 76 degrees. The thermostat was set to 62; went to the unit itself and couldn’t get it to turn on. I called the front desk. At this point we had yet to be able to unpack, change, do our hair etc. After 15 minutes I called down again, frustrated that it had now been 40 min since we had arrived. I was told they were “pulling a room up right now.” We were finally moved all the way down the opposite end of the hall to a room that was fully functioning. No apology. No offer to help move our stuff. We quickly dumped our things and had to leave for the show, sweaty and frustrated. Later, we couldn’t get the door to the pool room open and had to have front desk let us in. Pool was nice & clean. Night was long, you could hear everyone walking above us; we even received two phone calls from the people below us as well about “stomping” which was just my kids walking. Beds were comfy. Breakfast is what saved our stay; it was delicious and had a great variety.

Nice, clean and quiet.

Towel holder bar was duty/rusted. Bathtub floor was painted. Paint was peeling and hindering water flow draining down the pipes.

Having breakfast was great. Also, we liked the fridge, microwave, desk, and all the outlets around the room. Beds are comfortable. There is ample bathroom counter space. The gym is a bit warm though.
