InterContinental Hotels THE CLEMENT MONTEREY, an IHG Hotel

This is our second time at this hotel and we love it, we plan to come back again. Super close to the aquarium, shopping, and dining. Great staff.

Very nice hotel…very clean, great location, in-room fireplace, robes, restaurant onsite and a lot of other restaurants and shops next to the hotel. Everything is walking distance. Upon check-in, we waited for 20 minutes for valet parking ticket. For check-out, I called 15-min ahead of time and our car was ready when we walked up. There is a mini bar fridge only in the room. So you can’t bring anything back to your room. Main problem are the thin walls, you can hear EVERYTHING from adjacent rooms. We had to turn on a white noise sound and we can still hear other guests and street noises. We barely got any sleep. It was still a great getaway!

We’ve stayed here many times and have always had amazing stays. Our rooms were stocked with Byredo products, free water bottles, and a cute zen garden. The location on Cannery is simply unmatched!

Awesome experience all around. Very peaceful on many fronts. Highly recommend.

Excellent staff at every aspect of our stay

We loved the fact that our room looked out over Monterey Bay where we could see the sunrise and spot the sea otters rafting up in the kelp beds.

This is a pretty old hotel to charge this much. Parking is offsite, about a 5-minute walk, and it's $45/day. Not only that, parking space is limited, we got back one day and there were no spots left... Our first night there, someone accidentally got water on the control panel so the firefighters and first responders were all over the street. The second night there, our TV turned itself on 6am in the morning, and the last night there, our smoke alarm went off at 2am. A security had to come into our room to disarm the false alarm... I understand that things can happen and sometimes it's out of your control, but for three nights straight? I call that old system that needs maintenance. The location is great, but still, with the chaos we had to deal with, we will not be back.

We a family of 4 had a great stay. Location is very convenient, everything is walkable. Breakfast at the hotel had brilliant ocean views and service was exceptional. Room was clean and had a bigger bathroom. Its a rare thing to have a great stay in hotels these days.

I have been dreaming of visiting Monterey since I was a child… The aquarium was amazing, and just steps from the hotel. The rooms were comfortable, and the location could not be beat. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone planning to visit Monterey.

Great location

I selected the property for the hot tub. And it was not hot. More like a lukewarm tub. I called every night to ask somebody if there’s anything they can do to turn it up. Because the nights were very cold. And they told me they’d get maintenance right on it, but it was never warm enough to sit in for more than a couple minutes. It’s just disappointing because I chose this hotel for a work trip because of the hot tub and we’re scheduling many more work trips in the next year. Will rethink where we stay.

Staying here puts you right in the middle of cannery row and Monterey bay with its spectacular views and the aquarium just a short walk away.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. I got upgraded to a better room. The location was very central to a lot of things.

Short walk to the Monterey Aquarium and it’s a few steps to many shops.

Had a great stay here!!! Clean, nice rooms! Parking is pricey though! But I would definitely stay here again if I’ll be in Monterey.

We liked how clean and nice the room was. We did not like that we could not connect streaking either day, nor could your tech person. Also, parking was advertised at $40 per day and was $45 for self park.
