Spa and the spa staff were Incredibly rude.

Over all experience was amazing. Looking to come back in near future.

Lovely location and beautiful place, but the service lacked a lot. At three different meals, we were rushed along and food and service were suspended well before 9:00 at dinner. At the Thanksgiving meal, the music stopped and food was suspended after we had only been seated for 20 minutes. At another meal, we sat for an expensive sushi meal at 8:30 and were told we needed to finish ordering in 10 minutes because the sushi chef was leaving at 8:45. I made a few specific requests of the experience planners prior to arrival as this was for a birthday, and almost none of them were remembered and honored. Quite disappointing service all around.

Montage Palmetto Bluff is a beautiful escape. The entire property is meticulously cared for with wildlife around the area. We saw many deer, fishes, and even some gators in May river. We had a cottage with river views and it was so relaxing. The entire property is dog friendly and I had my two dogs treated like royalty. The River house restaurant is an absolute must. It’s incredibly delicious - so good we ate there twice. My husband and I are already making plans to go back!

This is truly a unique high-end property. We enjoyed everything and will go back some day.

Amazing stay for the 2nd year in a row. Beautiful property, wonderful food and exceptional service. Blessed to spend out family vacation here! We had 14 people from 11 to 87....there is something for everyone!

Hotel is nice, but not spectacular. It is a poster property for JUNK FEES. When paying $675 per night for a basic room, it's insulting to be hit with multiple junk fees. $55 daily resort fee, when almost no resort amenities are free ($40 for pickleball court), $17 bell porterage fee (never seen that one before); $30 for valet parking (maybe justified in city properties where car is in a garage, but I could see my car from the front door the whole time!), $6.75 "destination fee" (what could this be for???), and finally a $1 "donation" to the local conservancy. This property gives the industry a bad reputation.

My husband and I had an amazing time during our stay. The staff was amazing. The property was beautiful, peaceful and quiet. Big shout out to Carmela who was in the concierge room and provided us with information about golfing and other things to do during our stay. It was raining one day and she was on her way home for the evening. She actually handed my husband and I her umbrella to take. My husband and I were celebrating our 19 year anniversary. This was the vacation I needed. We will definitely be returning again without the kids!!

Great trip and always enjoy our time at the Montage. Josh was great getting us situated in our room and providing good tips on dinning.

An impeccable hotel! Service beyond anything I have ever seen. The welcome cocktail was delicious!

We had an incredible time at the Montage Palmetto Bluff. The service is unparalleled, and the staff go out of their way to ensure a lovely stay. They have golf carts to shuttle you to and from places on site (dinner, shopping, boating, etc). Additionally, the staff will handle any and all reservations on your behalf. The complimentary bikes allow guests to enjoy a charming way to sight see. There are just so many amenities for a couples weekend or family fun. We loved our weekend away and look forward to returning.

The property is spectacular, very quiet and relaxing. There is a nice size lap pool that was often empty which we particularly enjoyed.

Very friendly people, always ready to assist. Nice restaurants on the property. Beautiful nature! Very quiet. Special thanks to Carmela, concierge who did more than expected to provide us with maximum service.

Incredible attention to detail and everyone was incredibly pleasant and helpful from a customer service. They really make you feel at home and I don't think I have dropped the stresses of everyday life so quickly before, big tip of the cap to the Montage team and amenities for helping that happen.

Always a special stay!

The Montage is located in a community called Palmetto Bluff which is tranquil & stunning. That said, one should be well aware of one significant issue; the hotel is "pet friendly." If you appreciate accommodations that do not smell like wet dog, stay away. The carpets are disgusting. I have included some pictures but unfortunately I cannot include the sensation of smell in my review. The stains in the carpet are partially masked by the rug pattern but trust that, in person, the stains are plentiful. Also note, that the pictured carpet had been “deep cleaned.” And finally, the photo of chewed wooden legs are from 2 separate rooms. My sinuses went haywire & ruined all 10 days of our trip in the area & beyond. I STRONGLY suspect there had been cats in the room at some point due to the explosive reaction I suffered. I pleaded to find us a carpet-free room which they finally did on our 3rd day of a 5 night stay. A manager actually asked “have we done anything wrong?” and “the website says we are pet friendly and there are pictures of carpet there as well.” Really? No amount of the hotel's "deep cleaning" can nullify the allergens or smell. In fairness I have given the hotel 3 stars for two reasons. The grounds are fabulous & the pet policy may appeal to some. That said, benefit from my VERY unfortunate experience and STAY AWAY IF YOU HAVE ANY LEVEL OF ALLERGY OR SIMPLY DON’T WANT TO LIVE WHERE DOG AND PERHAPS OTHER ANIMALS HAVE BEEN TAKING CARE OF BUSINESS FOR YEARS
