Sheraton Waikiki Beach Resort

Stayed here for Christmas 2024. The oceanfront rooms have an amazing ocean view and was one of the highlights of my trip. I would stay here again just for the view from the room. The location is also great, right next to all of the luxury brands and food options. The hotel itself was clean although on the older side. The room was on the smaller side but had a very comfortable, very large King bed. The bathroom could use an upgrade. Check in was smooth, no complaints about the staff or housekeeping.

The Good and The Bad 1. The pool here is beautiful … but it’s not heated … meaning it’s COLD. Never been to a nice upscale resort that had a cold pool. My wife and I would refer to it as ‘the polar plunge’ or ‘hey, want to hit the ice bath?’ 2. There are waaaaaay more people at the resort than there are beach / pool chairs. Meaning if you don’t get in line at 7:45 am before the pool opens …. You have very high odds of not getting chairs. Then you can put your beach bag and towels down on the ground like a hobo … that’s awkward. 3. Parking …. There is a $52 a day resort fee added to your bill but this does NOT cover parking. Parking will cost you an extra $55 a day ! And it’s off site parking … meaning it’s a long, long walk to the room. The Good !!! …. 1. The rooms are great. We had an ocean front room and the view was spectacular. Balcony is awesome and very spacious. 2. Grounds are really clean and taken care of so well. Staff is very friendly and helpful … a real plus. 3. Location. It’s right in the heart of everything. Easy walk to soooo many things. If you don’t plan to explore the island you def do not need a rental car. - - - - In conclusion : it’s an extremely nice hotel. If you don’t minds hoards of people (or maybe you like hoards of people) it’s worth staying at. You’ll be treated very well (but don’t expect anything to be done on a budget! )

Hotel is great with nearby options for food and shopping. Beach is crowded though. Waikīkī over-rated except maybe for first time visitors to Oahu.

Room was too small.

Dining Service in Rumfire was slow & food was mediocre at best… Walking to the Kai market for breakfast there was an overwhelming smell from the rest rooms. Room cleaner checked on me just after 9am even though I had paid for late check out. Definitely not excellent or wonderful…

I’m kind of disappointed because I had to kept asked for things. The employees were friendly and nice but probably they are too busy to remember what to give you.

Expedia booked me with Two Queen size bed but it was Two double beds and for 4 of us it very uncomfortable. Once I checked with the hotel they we only have King size bed and Double size bed no queen size bed.

We always stay here. The best location and service

Great location and housekeeping was amazing as well as staff at Rum Fire and pool bar but lack of towels by the pool and the room given on arrival were disappointing. We were given our room category but I don’t recall the room shown having a blocked window. Unfortunate way to treat repeat guests and Marriott members.

Nice location

Kids-friendly big hotel in the mid of Waikiki. Breakfast place can be easily improved by turning it into buffet restaurant. Beach chairs and gone by 9am and canapés need to reserved way in advance. Next time will try its neighboring hotel Royal Hawaiian. Their beach was also busy and crowded. The only downside of Waikiki I guess.
