This place is eclectic, modest and fun but noisy. There is no sound proofing so if you stay on the first floor and are not a heavy sleeper, it may be hard to rest, like it was for me. There was constant sound of walking and loud plumbing turning off and on. My brother also had a room and the shower barely worked. The lobby would be a nice place to hang out but always really cold because they keep the doors open. The cancellation policy is tough: 72 hours notice to receive a refund. We were debating cutting our trip short but when I realized I would not be able to sleep well, we resolved to leave despite no refund. Not a terrible experience but would not go back

First, I thought we were staying at the main building Villa Rosa but was given the first floor of a room at Tide Pool across the street. That was misleading. We did not like our room. Secondly, there is a hidden fee of $28 extra per day upon check-in that they blame Expedia for--
not cool for customers. Next, half of my suite did not have power since the first day we arrived and no one knows how to fix it despite multiple requests. Due to no power, one of the TV's did not work and we had to charge phones on one side of the room. Lastly my husband and I got locked out of our rooms 3 times due to a problem with keys. Owner saw and had to let us in.

Watch out if you book via Expedia as the Villa Rosa hotel charges hidden "Resort fees".
Unfortunately, they failed to mention breakfast and happy hour. We were across the street from the hotel in the "Tide Pool" rooms so we didn't know about happy hour, breakfast, nor the pool.
Area was great. Room was good too, but TV didn't work.

This was my 4th time there and have enjoyed all stays. Next time howeverI would like to have a room inside the main building with access to the lobby like my prior three stays. I stayed in room C2 and it was ok but it was dark and I didn’t expect a kitchen. It was a bit noisy from above. Still I plan on returning as my daughter lives in SB. Best

The floor was filthy… like black feet filthy.. we stayed in room 110. The front desk and employees were very nice but the hotel felt mostly neglected. Our pillow had blood on it and so did the leather couch. Dreadful experience with a good view and friendly yet oblivious employees.

Dirty sheets and poor maintenance and cleaning. There is something wrong with their business plan. I would guess that they have insufficient staff to maintain the facilities.
Also, they charged an additional unadvertised fee after arrival. We ended up leaving and forfeiting the money.

Front desk was nice enough but this was like a camping experience. Good location but way overpriced for the low quality. Poor workers need more help to keep place maintained, running, and clean. Also a junk fee at check in of $28.
