Booked this room last minute when weather forced me to change my plans. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful, but the place is extremely tired and run-down. You can tell this is where people party during the ski season. Carpets were very worn and questionably clean. While the major areas (toilet, bed) were clean enough, there was hair and dust on the floors along with holes and scuff marks on the walls. Room furniture is old and worn out, but functional. The bed was hard but served its purpose. I wish I would have spent the $30-40 additional dollars for a better room at a hotel.

we were very pleased with our stay at Skyline, we were tired and neede a good night sleep and thats what we got. The only thing I could say that the continental breakfast could have had maybe toast or bagel with butter and cream cheese.

I prefer staying at smaller places like this and for the price you can’t beat it for a nights stay when traveling. I just wish we would have made it before the restaurant closed for the night! Had a great meal the last time through. Not my 1st time here, and this time I had one of the updated rooms. Just wish they accepted pets.

Restaurant only had basic sandwiches and things like fryed pickles . Not really tantalizing. But staff was very nice helpful overall the place itself was very nice

We like the price and the cleanliness and the comfort of the bed. I often wake at a hotel with sore back and shoulders, but not at Skyline! The downside is that people can be heard outside your door, but that is more on people than on the lodge. It would seem after 10pm you might keep your voices down! We will stay again!!

We have stayed at Skyline Lodge several times over the last few years. We have always found the rooms to be clean. We love the lake on the property and really enjoy having a lakeview room if possible. There are picnic tables, benches and a big deck outside of the pub to sit and enjoy the view and the quiet. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There are prepackaged muffins and other goodies for a quick breakfast set out in the lobby. It's nice to have Rich & Ernie's Pub connected to the hotel. I just wish they were open more during the week. The food has always been good. Our only concerns with Skline are the driveway & parking lot are in need of of repaving. There are many potholes on the driveway going in. Also, the mattresses have been fine, but some of the bedframes seem old and are creaky and wobbly. We love the Skyline Lodge and will continue to stay there whenever we're traveling through beautiful West Virginia.

The staff was amazing and made my stay way better than expected. The attached restaurant and bar served cold beer and a superb cheesesteak, perfect after a long motorcycle ride. Room was clean, shower was hot, everything worked as expected. If you can get a room on the back, the view is worth more than the price.

Rooms are outdated, and needs more outlets to charge your electronics.

It was a good stay. I believe they are in transition. We had a guy below us whose cigar smoke came right into our non smoking room.

Staff is great, and they have room service.

Rooms need to be updated and repaired. Beds needs to be replaced. Chair is room was broken and on off season the bar and grill is not recommended.

This was our overnight stay on the way to Myrtle Beach. Second time staying here. Cute quiet place. Love the little lake in back.
