We like the price and the cleanliness and the comfort of the bed. I often wake at a hotel with sore back and shoulders, but not at Skyline! The downside is that people can be heard outside your door, but that is more on people than on the lodge. It would seem after 10pm you might keep your voices down! We will stay again!!

We have stayed at Skyline Lodge several times over the last few years. We have always found the rooms to be clean. We love the lake on the property and really enjoy having a lakeview room if possible. There are picnic tables, benches and a big deck outside of the pub to sit and enjoy the view and the quiet. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There are prepackaged muffins and other goodies for a quick breakfast set out in the lobby. It's nice to have Rich & Ernie's Pub connected to the hotel. I just wish they were open more during the week. The food has always been good. Our only concerns with Skline are the driveway & parking lot are in need of of repaving. There are many potholes on the driveway going in. Also, the mattresses have been fine, but some of the bedframes seem old and are creaky and wobbly. We love the Skyline Lodge and will continue to stay there whenever we're traveling through beautiful West Virginia.

The staff was amazing and made my stay way better than expected. The attached restaurant and bar served cold beer and a superb cheesesteak, perfect after a long motorcycle ride. Room was clean, shower was hot, everything worked as expected. If you can get a room on the back, the view is worth more than the price.

Rooms are outdated, and needs more outlets to charge your electronics.

It was a good stay. I believe they are in transition. We had a guy below us whose cigar smoke came right into our non smoking room.

Rooms need to be updated and repaired. Beds needs to be replaced. Chair is room was broken and on off season the bar and grill is not recommended.

This was our overnight stay on the way to Myrtle Beach. Second time staying here. Cute quiet place. Love the little lake in back.

The hotel is older but extremely clean. All the staff were exceptionally pleasant and helpful. We also enjoyed the pub and restaurant. The food was very good.

We arrived and found that the restaurant and bar were going to be closed for the duration of our stay. This is a remote area, so we had to drive to locate any food or drink. We had to change rooms several times, as we wanted a room on the lakeside and had to upgrade to a handicap room, due to the toilets being so low to the ground in the regular rooms. Neither of us are handicapped, but we are in our 70's. The room was fine and the beds were super comfortable! We spent the better part of our afternoons and evenings just sitting and looking at the wonderful lake, the chipmunks, and all the birds. The only drawback to the serenity is that I-77 is just on the other side of the hill and all the noise just spoils it. We would stay there again.

Bathroom mirror is too far from where I stand so I cannot see my face clearly. Maybe wall attached folderble mirror is going to be helpful. Bed looks like somebody already slept once… it means fitted and flat sheets wrinkled a lot.

Where do I start? Staff was great they couldn’t have been any nicer. The road to the property is so rutted with potholes had to drive in the grass. Boxsprings were stained, one bed the frame was almost broke and mattress had large dip in center. Coffee pot was filthy and warming plate was rusty! The tub in the bathroom still had hair in it, the one wall of the shower had a hole plugged with what looked like a wad of chewed bubble gum ( yes I know it was silicone of some kind but the plug job was terrible). The ac in the room and mini fridge kept us and our drinks very cold.

It’s a great hotel for our archery tournament in Pipestem.

Me and my fiance pulled off here for the night to rest our heads and the staff was so sweet and accommodating and very helpful for traveling in the future I wish that we were staying in West Virginia longer because this was a wonderful place to see the lake. There's a restaurant on the premise as well as a wonderful patio. Definitely would recommend this place to anybody traveling!
