The room has a view of two buildings so it is not private. Location is not central. Minimalist decor, small bed. When I stopped the car to check in, no one gave timely instructions (when I opened the door and approached the reception desk, a male employee came out and asked if I needed any assistance?). The welcome drink came out slowly and was nothing special (a couple went but only brought 1 cup, when they brought more they were ready to go to the room). However, these things can be understood. What makes my husband and I most dissatisfied when staying here is that the staff are not really welcoming, sophisticated and not friendly to customers (except restaurant staff). The staff's way of addressing and asking questions made us feel uncomfortable. In particular, the exchange reminded us of extremely unreasonable things that made us feel uncomfortable (if I remember correctly, that person was wearing a name tag "Thuy Pham"). Although I have experienced many places, with the price compared to other hotels in the same segment, Nikko Hai Phong is probably a place I will not return to. According to personal assessment, the only plus points here are the quality of soft bedsheets and pillows and relatively high quality breakfast although a bit limited.
