Xianyang is a city in Shaanxi Province, China. The location is near the Wei River and only a few kilometers from the provincial capital of Xi'an. Before the capital's activities were integrated into the Xi'an metropolitan area, Xianyang was the capital of the Qin dynasty (221-207 SM).
Founded more than 3000 years ago, Xianyang has a variety of arts and culture that become its identity. Xianyang also has high historical value where you can find many historical heritage sites. Now Xianyang functions more as a market center and a fertile area in the middle of the Wei River valley.

The best time to visit Xianyang is during the Chinese New Year celebrations where the whole city will look festive. If you want to go by season, come from March to May (spring) or September to November (autumn). During these months the scenery is beautiful and the weather is comfortable for traveling around.
When visiting a place, it is mandatory to shop for souvenirs, including visiting East Street (Culinary and Shopping Street).
