Located on a hill overlooking the Prambanan Temple complex, Keraton Ratu Boko is believed to have been a grand palace of the Mataram Kingdom. The vast compound includes ruins of several temples, royal courts, caves, and other ancient Hindu-Buddhist archaeological remains dating from the 8th century. Today, the area is popular spot in Yogyakarta for enjoying sunset views.
