Located along Sumida River, this peaceful park is a popular spot for viewing cherry blossoms from late March to early April. Sumidagawa Fireworks Festival, the oldest fireworks display in Japan, can also be watched here on the last weekend of July. Regardless of the season, Sumida Park is a pleasant stopover after visiting the busy Asakusa district nearby. The park also offers scenic views of Tokyo Skytree, which is illuminated in colorful lighting every night.
