Suramadu Bridge

Suramadu Bridge, which is short for Surabaya – Madura Bridge, is 5.438 meters long — making it the longest bridge in Indonesia. Construction of the bridge started in 2003 and ended 6 years later, when it was inaugurated by former president, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono. Several festivals, such as the Suramadu Festival and Toron tor Ongga Festival, have also been held near the iconic bridge.
